with mids, i dont think we should target anything such as quick, or tall or whatever. i think what we need in a mid is 'best disposal by foot'. we need lace out passes to miller, newton, bate, wonna, maric, watts or whoever else is up there. even average forwards can kick lots of goals if they have good service.

but pace would be nice ;)

Posted
KPPs and pacey mids, please.

Rucks with low/rookie picks.

I want min 2 Kpp's amongst our total draftees from the national draft.

I want mids to, but for mine the sort of mids I want have to have the ability to muscle up to a big body mixed with aggression for the contest & can win the one on one's, they must have the ability to kick very well or @ the very least the purpous & ability to improve there use of the ball up to elite levels.

I don't want any Darren Kowal sized mids, to light. (unless their robert flower clones, forget it.).

I want us to build a team physically strong enough to eventually win a flag. Not just look flashy & appealing to attract supporters.

Would anyone trade picks 17 + 18 for Justin Kozzi?

I wouldn't as I think he is a hack, but interesting hypothetical.

I expect Ziebell and Sidebottom to be gone by the time our second and third picks come along, I think we should try and nab Broadbent or Rhys O'Keefe with one of these picks, as they could fit this mould. If Jamie Sheahan wasn't so small he'd be right in the mix too. I'd love for us to take the punt on Tom Swift as well. Exceptional before he was injured.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
