6. Brad Miller - Wasnt his best ever game but I applaud his never-say-die attitude and effort til the final siren.

5. Dunn - Good job on Cooney.

4. CJ - Excellent rebounding game. His game has come along way under DB's management.

3. Brad Green - Tried hard. Some good moments.

2. Cam Bruce - Decent game. Ran hard, should kick long more though.

1. Stefan Martin - Calm in defence.

Apologies to Simon Buckley who I thought tried to break the lines well. Wheatley was alright too.

Very quick off the mark Grimesy. Weighting this week is .6737!

Next two genuine vote givers will be included in this year's Demonland Player of the Year Voting.

6. Brad Green - our best

5. Cameron Bruce - our second best

4. Brad Miller - was good, looked really good in junk time

3. L. Dunn - well Dunn Sunn

2. Garland

1. Valenti

Not giving votes to Wheatley, too loose this week. Martin was OK but being beaten on the lead by Will Minson is a little embarrassing.

Posted

6. CJ - pinpoint passes, amongst a display of ordinary skill execution.

5. Bruce - great motor.

4. Buckley - showed flashes of skill and commitment

3. Miller - quality

2. Green - as usual

1. Martin - not many errors

On two of those occasions there was nothing he could have done.

Geddy Lee, no CJ? I thought he was clearly best on. He won plenty of ball and also delivered it well.

6 - C Johnson

5 - C Bruce

4 - B Green

3 - B Miller

2 - S Martin

1 - L Dunn

6 - Garland (quickly becoming 'the General' of our defence. Beat Murphy and created plenty off HB)

5 - C.Johnson (plenty of the ball and generally used it ball well, as well as being good defensively)

4 - Buckley (showed lots of dash and ball-carrying ability, and an improved defensive workrate. Kick was also better today)

3 - Martin (shades of J.Rivers about this bloke, but in a bigger body. Courageous in the air. Beaten a couple of times by unstoppable disposal but he looks very promising)

2 - Bruce (got stacks of the ball but didnt use it too well on a lot of occassions. Havent seen the stats yet but wouldnt be surprised if he got over 35 touches. Needs to improve his handballing skills, but otherwise led from the front, and if not for errors, wouldve been BOG)

1 - Miller (got 3 goals in junk time, but it was just reward for his hard work in the previous 3 qtrs)

Anyone who doesn't have martin and garland in their top 6 didn't watch the same game as me.

I didnt have Garland. I thought he was OK without being outstanding. Murphy seemed to get alot of the ball.

Not much he could do considering the quality of the delivery Minson got. Martin got the better of Minson on the lead, more often than not, and Minson got a couple of lucky goals.

Add Warnock to that as well.

The backline was the only part of the ground where we played consistently well for 4 quarters, and that's despite the collective age of our defenders being 14.

To keep the Dogs to under 100 points is excellent, especially at the Dome.

6. Dunn.L...shut down their superstar

5. Martin.S...that was an amazing effort for a 2nd gamer

4. Johnson.C...showed a cool head under pressure.

3. Garland.C...forced Murphy either deep or wide all day

2. Bruce.C...great workrate, would have placed higher if disposal was better

1. Warnock.M...especially good first half when we were under siege.

Apologies to the Russian who I thought rucked very well today, Miller Bate & Green who worked hard all day, Buckley showed a bit and Wheel's for his exceptional tackling.

6: Martin S. An encouragement vote for a great effort by someone playing his second game (and no wonder Essendon wanted him).

5: Dunn L. I reckon he did a terrific job on Cooney - but I hope he becomes more than a very good tagger.

4: Valenti S. Because he has more football brains than a number of higher profile (and far better paid players) on our list.

3: Garland C. Because he shut down my favourite non MFC player.

2: Brucey. Shocking kicking but great effort all the same.

1: Johnson C. Well done - we may just keep you on our list if you keep playing like you have in recent weeks.

And sorry B. Green you were OK as well.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round.
