They carried on about it last night... The AFL to date only give weeks based on outcome not action. The outcome was all clear. ...but it's just like them to decide to switch it now. If they do then should they back date the Crouch decision and a few others over the Marsh series?

He moved very well and caused Clarkson a lot of grief moving forward... He just missed some easy targets and made the odd decision error but on the whole a very complete game. Both him and Langdon are running machines and bring a lot to the team balance/game plan. Langdon is very quick and Tomlinson is not slow, he can move.

Definitely one of my knocks on him and a reason I wasn't a fan of picking him up. A defined role and not being used to pinch hit all over the place might just be the answer. He was in everything last night. If he tidies up his kicking and carries this form into the season he will be an inspired choice.

Wasn't a fan, but starting to see the wisdom in picking him up.

That'll Do....

I'm sure that unlike Woolworths and a few of the high flying chefs their administrative error didn't involve underpaying the players.

If I was Sydney Stack I would be looking over my shoulder this season. He got a half fit Jack... I reckon Jack may have a long memory.

I think they are off the mark with Jack... He's not treacle-slow for a start, he's not lightning quick either but... My main concern with him is that he tries to do too much. If he learns to give off the ball and set up teammates in better positions it will take his game to another level. The loss of the Captaincy may be his wake up call. A fit Jack if he learns his lessons will be a very valuable member of the team.

Who cares????

If he doesn't play games this year he will be in a similar league to Patton... Not worth much at all. I don't think Sydney will be giving EFC an easy ride after their recent history.
-
I think Goody is looking for that Vlastuin type role with Harmes... It's worth a try and if it doesn't work out or we are struggling in the mids we know he can play that role if needed.

...and 'drysdale' knocking anyone who might question the club or coach. Nothing much changes in the world does it. For the record I think it is a move worth trying but I can understand the thinking of others who don't.

Try these 'Rob'.... -
I must admit to not being overly interested 'Macca'...watched a little bit and there were some nice skills etc. ...but there was no skin in the game & to me that takes the interest out. Happy that you enjoyed it 'Macca', not being condescending either. I do like the idea of a skilful open game (much better than the inferior brand of rugby we sometimes get) but would just rather it was true state of origin. Put some real interest in it. Make it a real contest.

Agree, that's why I see him as a floater. He will get blocked if he starts deep too often, but I can see him floating in and out a bit like Lynch at Adelaide but better overhead which means he can create those mis matches you are talking about...
-
Fritsch did his best work a bit further up the ground...rather than stay at home I think he will be better as a floater... I might be seeing things, I thought he was rested too, but then I noticed him on the ground toward the end of the last.

I don't agree with this... Sparrow at the moment is pure inside, very one dimensional...I agree with 'McQueen' He can get to the player with the ball and at times first to the ball but it stops there. Nathan manages to get the ball moving.

It's not just you 'Nelo'. I put him with the vacuous Cooney. You could sit and listen to both them for hours on end if you had time to waste and absolutely add nothing to your footy knowledge. I choose to turn both off. Must be buying the beers when Hutchy is around, can't think of how else they get a gig...

Over a greater period of that time we were also the worst team in the comp. Things will change 'Bring-Back', have some faith mate.

The home ground advantage to Geelong is overrated. They've had a very good team over the last decade and that coincides with their winning record. No surprise there. They also didn't play the bigger clubs there. ...and the talk of them not winning finals at the 'G' is also an overreaction by the experts. They've been good enough to get into finals but have been on a slow decline for a while now. It never hurt their premiership teams, they won anywhere. Now with Geelong in decline Kardinia Park will no longer be a bogey ground for opposition.

Can't see Sydney making it. Also could see Geelong drop out this year, ageing stars at the end & the loss of Kelly... ...and unconvinced by Port.
-
Who else is a bit excited for tomorrow night? (Make sure your sound is on for this one.) Have absolutely no interest in this game...
-
That's called wishful thinking 'Bring-Back'... All supporters do it at this time of year. You see what's not there and ignore what is. You like to think you've picked up a bargain. How could Melbourne let him go? Let's see what they think after a couple of real games.

Kane has said he loves it...made great viewing. I'm not sure he admitted outright to being wrong but he thinks it's a great insight. Pity he want off half c...ed before seeing an episode.
