The Paddy Dangerfield Thread
As for Danger...the danger signs for him were there in the Prelim. That fake stony faced look after the game instead of joining in the joy of winning, of getting through to the GF. The all about me moment... It was nearly like the classic Crow's fake power stance. ...and he got the same result. He played as if it was all about him. There was no team in Dangerfield.

Can we just get over the missed recruiting of Dusty....2009 Time to move on crew. If we had of picked him he would have gone to GWS instead of Scully, there is no way known he would have stayed around in the basket case that was the Melbourne Football Club of the time... Look ahead to 2021 now.

2020 Grand Final
Danger has had a mare, needs to do the 1%a's and not try the spectacular...a liability to date.

Comment from someone with no idea....or just taking the p...? The first movement was to punch the ball the 2nd movement was a direct elbow into the face of V... High contact, high impact. This is a 4 game penalty (ANB) plus GF loading of 2 weeks. Will probably get off with the mates clause...

How Geelong does it
Good to hear from you "Mach'...hope all is well.

The Zac Merrett Thread
Sometimes you've got to pick your mark... Last year was a no brainer to trade Daniher and Oratzio...dumb move to keep 2 injury prone players who didn't want to be there. This year with a new broom, a player that does get on the ground and performs at a consistently high level...best to try turn him around unless you get a crazy, crazy deal offered. He's at their club and they're in the box seat. Over to you EFC.

I think they will be lucky to make the 8 next year... I guess I'm massively underrating them...let's check in around September 2021 and see how I go.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
I'm not sold on Brown, I think it's more important for us now to sign Jackson to a longer contract. The pairing of him and Weid worked. Then spend some more capital on another wingman and quick classy forward.

A preseason is a long time in footy. No guarantees Hawkins, Selwood & Danger all come back as the players they've been this season. The edge is closer than you think.

Another great big Neeld era recruiting stuff up...
...and Rory Taggert at pick 36. Yep, he really rated him 'dazz'.

Dees Reviewing Senior Footy Department Positions
Ummm...not sure what you are getting at here 'bing' but so far the first team into the GF is the one with maybe largest membership. Have won 2 of the 3 last flags 2017 & 2019...WC the one in the middle 2018, large membership Hawks another large club 3 2013, 2014 & 2015. The only outlier has been the Dogs in recent times 2016...

Oliver Rumours on Footy Classified
I'm pretty sure 18 clubs including ours will be showing interest in him 'dazz'...

We need a strong showing in 2021 and finals of itself won't be a pass mark. Top 4 is probably it, personally it's GF for me. I've read a lot of the posts and my initial thoughts were 3 years is too much. ..but my thinking has been swayed by the arguments that he doesn't cost us anything but probably a list spot in his 3rd year. I don't think that's a lot to pay for a shot at a premiership. We get 1 or 2 good years then he's a bargain...

Taylor Excited About the Draft
That he doesn't need...has it in spades already.

Trade Targets
If he costs us nothing then why not...but he will cost us a 2 year deal at least I would think. Otherwise he would stay with the hawks. I hope we don't offer another Lewis 3 year type deal though.

Bombers Implode
Glass houses 'titan', I agree. We are in a precarious position. ...and I hate EFC as much as anyone. The one thing I think they did make a huge mistake on was not trading Joe & Fanta last year. Most people could see it, it's not hindsight but it was stubborn stupidity on their behalf. They could have grounded 2 good kids this year and be on their way. A costly mistake, particularly if they don't get the return they hope for with Joe.

Tom McDonald
He looked like being the answer as KPB and future AA. ...but then he got found out/lost his confidence. He started getting a lot of goals kicked on him and as 'Dee' says above he was turning the ball over. His days as a defender were done.

Tom McDonald
He had lost all form down back and was played forward as a last resort. It worked for a year or so and now he has lost all form forward. I don't think moving him back is the answer.
