  1. Year 12 History Revolutions? One of my favourite subjects at school. I killed it. Sadly I did not keep any of my work, it's not exactly relevant to what I'm doing now. Always remember, communism is perfect in theory but fails in reality because the world is not made up of idealistic people, least of all those preaching communistic theories.
  2. Exactly the same injury as Scully, and exactly the same injury that has caused me 2 years of pain and immobility (though it seems Cooney and Scully have pain relating to the bone itself not the surrounding tendon). Good luck paying $1mil a seaon for that!
  3. Torn. Can work with limited resources, but has never experienced premiership success. Roos stepped in at Sydney and they won a flag, and with the Doggies he seemed to have left his chase for mature top ups (e.g.-Hall) too late. He is however very good tactically.
  4. I wasn't totally sure, but now it has been confirmed that at least 41% of Demonland posters need to seek immediate medical help.
  5. But then proceeded to put a big picture of him in the email.
  6. So you want us to scrape into the finals, not on merit, but on the back of other teams failing, so we can front up to Carlton or West Coast first up and get demolished by 100+ points? Epic achievement that one.
  7. You know Melbourne supporters have completely lost the plot with this season when there is a 4 page thread on the pros of drafting Brendon Fevola. FFS, step away slowly people!
  8. I don't care if we play Port on the moon, if we don't beat them in Round 24 it would be one of the most epically disastrous results we've had in 4+ seasons. I will literally dig my own hole and bury myself in it. Of course whether we win or lose we still won't make finals, and thank god for that. I don't want us to get smashed first up, it's better just to miss out than to make up numbers if the only experience you'll gain is one of getting your arse kicked mercilessly.
  9. Oh poor baby, his lack of decisiveness is tough on him, is it? It's tough on the rest of the club too. He just needs to sort it out, FFS he's had almost two years to work out if he wants to play for this club or if money is more important. It didn't seem a tough choice for Trengove. Why can't everyone be as cool as Trengove? B)
  10. Damn straight! I'll be 69 years young partying it up with my walking frame. It's gonna be epic.
  11. Gotta remember as well how good West Coast are at zoning and pressuring the ball carrier. They were one of the worst teams in the competition last year for foot skills. This year they carry the ball out of the congestion by hand and can spot up multiple targets up forward because they spread and cover the ground so well. We just have no structure, nothing. We look up and have nobody to kick to, either because nobody has run hard enough forward of the ball, or nobody is running hard enough to present. West Coast are smart, they have employed a zone defense to perfection and like other ordinary teams before them (Adelaide), have managed to climb up the ladder by breaking down teams and forcing them to turn the ball over. Will this style stand up in finals against top quality teams? possibly not, but I'd be happy to go from wooden spooners to top 4 finalists. Better than going from crap to slightly less crap with not a single defensive set up in place. Hopefully our next coach will spend the pre-season smashing our players into defensive submission!!!
  12. It's definitely been a one step forward two steps back kind of season. For every improver (e.g.- Martin), I can name two decliners (e.g.- Green, Jurrah, Morton, Davey). And really since hearing about Frawley's injury in January while on holidays in Bali, the season has completely spiraled out of control. Very disappointing that Grimes has lost yet another year of development, that our leadership group has again let us down badly, that Jamar, Bail, Davey, Garland, Scully and now Strauss suffered injuries, some horrific some just season derailing. We lost some very winnable games, including two early ones to North and St Kilda which would have all but guaranteed us a finals spot. We lost the plot and got absolutely smashed multiple times. We learnt nothing in the way of defense and playing under pressure or against a zone. We got our coach sacked after accomplishing a loss so big it got us into the record books (again), we went whole quarters without kicking a single goal, and entire quarters where our opposition ran around us like training cones. Many promising players took giant steps backwards, we've had the whole Scully saga hanging over us like a bad smell, and to top it all off, Stynes' health has declined. It's been a f*#%er of a season and improvement has been only minimal, and definitely limited to only a handful. If this season finished yesterday it would have been 14 rounds too late.
  13. He looked defeated. I felt sorry for him, but then I remembered how sorry I feel for myself having to watch us play like crap every week and I got over it
  14. I see your point, but lets be honest, he was on many occasions the only guy going in head first, without a single mate to help him. His disposals were rushed under enormous pressure and yes, they were average, but at least he was out there busting his balls, which is the only thing I actually want to see right now given the season is shot to [censored]. I'm not a big Jones fan and I think (hope) many others will pass him, but it was damn near embarrassing seeing him throw himself head first at contests while guys like Davey stood on the outside waiting for the easy handpass. Totally unacceptable, and he must feel cheated by his mates.
  15. I'm not feeling worse, I'm feeling the same level of disgust and general apathy today as I have for the past 4 weeks. As a whole this is the most disappointing, gut wrenching, heartbreaking season I can remember. Jack Trengove, Jack Watts, James Frawley, Jordie McKenzie and Jeremy Howe. 5 players that get me through nearly each week (and Grimes when he's alive), but not much else is right now.
  16. Stuffed if I know. Like I need more pain and misery in life. This is without doubt as low as I've ever felt as a Melbourne supporter, and by a mile too... and I watched every single game between 2007-2009.
  17. The Good Only 3 more games left of this awful season Howe. Love. The Bad Just about everything. We are woeful, embarrassing and pathetic at times. The Ugly How little I care about this club right now.
  18. 6- Howe (sensational) 5- Jones (killed himself time and time again. Shite user of the ball) 4- Frawley (kept Kennedy quiet and got involved. Needed to uppercut himself for some of his disposal decisions) 3- McDonald (great defensive game, but needs to stop trying to be superman) 2- Petterd (OK) 1- Garland (OK)
  19. I actually cannot be stuffed. I hope we don't make it and we seriously won't so it's irrelevant.
  20. It's hard because he is one of the very very few players who goes hard all the time but god he is terrible by foot. Top 4 teams don't carry players like Bartram. Sad but true.
  21. Different week same [censored]. Unbelievable how absolutely terrible we are. Leadership group woeful. Skills woeful. Fight woeful. Can this season just bloody end already!!!!
  22. AND we were in front at quarter time. I even took a photo of the scoreboard to prove it because it seemed so unbelievable to me. It was a good game, one of the highlights in a very very depressing season full of terrible loses.
  23. We got killed at the centre bounces last week, so if Jamar doesn't play and Cox does, we're in massive strife. Not that we aren't already. Why am I going again?
