  1. Fine straight swap for Jackson I guess will do
  2. So the reporter read Demonland. Understood.
  3. It’s ok… I may have got him banned 🫢
  4. This thread is missing the poster who was against Chandler's vibes and aura.
  5. Even the psych got sick of our [censored]
  6. Jackson is the third ruck on the list. Grundy and Gawn are pretty even in their stats for the year, except marks. Gawn absolutely dominates Grundy in marks. He averages 5.7 per game, 2.3 contested, whereas Grundy averages only 3.4 and less than 1 contested per game. Max is also third in the competition for contested possessions in general. Jackson is behind both in all stats except goals, averaging 1 per game which is elite for a ruckman. If you are picking a real team, you pick a combination of Gawn and Jackson every day of the week over Grundy.
  7. He deserves to make the final team. Averaging just shy of 20 touches, 3.3 clearances and 2 goals per game. That is elite stuff. When you look at the other small forwards in the squad, it's hard to argue that he isn't the best of the lot. Elliot and Pickett should be the two small forwards in the final team. Gawn ruck and Jackson on the bench.
  8. The club offered Max an extension. He did not ask for one.
  9. I reckon contracted players will have to wait until there is a new coach. Some may want out and be told no by the new coach, and some might want to stay and be given their marching orders anyway. And I don't think we will delist anyone officially until Casey's campaign is done. No doubt there will be lots of noise coming out of the meetings tho. There always is.
  10. His manager is giving me bad vibes
  11. Are you suggesting Max captains for the camera? Heaven forbid a club captain has a few words for his team at the conclusion of a very difficult and disappointing season. If only we had other leaders in the room who felt the need to speak up and say something. Instead it all falls back on Max, who is then copping it from fans like you for being performative and fake. If Max says nothing he's a bad captain and leader, if Max says something he's putting it on. Nobody is perfect, including Max, but I find some of the insinuations on this site in recent weeks about him absolutely categorically offensive and disrespectful. Of all the players who have let us down in recent years, Max is last on the list.
  12. Have you told him that I am inching closer and closer to death?
  13. Our captain speaking at the end of the season is unnecessary? He spoke well, he set the tone for what we expect heading into 2026. I don't really care what May was doing, I think it's being blown out of proportion, but to say Gawn didn't need to speak is just ridiculous. If anyone should have the right to speak, it's the only senior player who actually delivered on the field week in week out.
  14. May is 33, almost 34. I am not sure how long people expected him to keep his pace and agility? Melksham and Tmac are significantly slower now, and Tmac is doing well because he's playing on big bodied slower forwards, whereas we are still expecting May to play on Elliot and Gunston. Time to board the reality bus and understand that Gawn is a rare freak, but that most players as they age lose pace and reaction time. It's a bit harsh to hang him for it. Now if culturally he is a problem, then that's a different story, but he's still a very solid one on one defender, and if he goes into next season playing on big bodied gorillas, rather than being asked to play on speedy medium forwards, then he will still provide a solid contribution.
  15. Guerra might also be aware that he doesn’t have a whole lot of footy experience so wants someone to help with that side of things and oversee the FD, while reporting directly to him I think it’s a good idea and could resolve a number of issues around Richo, and eliminate some of the concerns around Guerra’s lack of footy experience
  16. Heartbreaking to hear what Gus is suffering post concussion. To think he’s now having to battle this insurance scam makes me so angry.
  17. Hore retired and he was a rookie and I suspect Henderson won’t get another year. Brown also a rookie who I don’t think gets another year. Verrell Sestan Woewodin Billings and Spargo OOC and doubt they get another contract. I really wouldn’t worry about list spaces
  18. The following players are unlikely to be on the list next season: Fullerton, Brown, Spargo, Verrell, Woewodin, Billings. That’s 6 gone without any trading done. Two in with White and Sinnema and no first round pick. We won’t have any issues to find spots for trade ins and draft picks.
  19. How so? We have no first round pick at this point, plus we are committed to two F/S and academy players. We have a bunch of players OOC who are not making it, and potentially a couple of senior players we will look to trade out. Unless the new coach wants to draft into rounds 4,5 and 6, I reckon re-signing these two has not put any squeeze on the list whatsoever. I can name 8 players who can comfortably be removed from the list ahead of them and still leave us room to play with.
  20. Disgusting. If it was a Melbourne supporter please ban him from the club. Ridiculous behavior in 2025!
  21. Not really. Have a look at how many players are OOC and far less likely to contribute/ remain on the list heading into 2026. A new coach is not making 12 list changes in one season. Melksham and McDonald are high value low cost players who will contribute off the field, even if they don’t contribute a whole lot on it. It’s really not a hard decision to make without a senior coach.
  22. Sad news for Jayden. Injury ruined his chance at a flag and launched the career of Bowey. Sliding doors.
  23. Selwyn is out of contract, so replacing him will not make any impact to the soft cap. Same as Williams. I am not sure where the other assistants are at with contracts, except that Chaplin has a year to run. Richardson also has a year to run, and will likely stay as his salary will be too much of a hit to the soft cap
  24. What 20 year old wants to live in Essendon? Moorabbin? Dingley? There are a small handful of clubs who train in close proximity to the CBD. By the way there are just as many players with families and kids as there are single players.
