Trac is worried about physical contact, and that is completely understandable given what he's been through. He was never going to be the same after that horrific injury that almost cost him his life. But that being the case, we need to change his role because you can't be an inside mid and avoid body contact.

Being a football manager is not a demotion its a promotion. He will be replacing Alan Richardson, and overseeing the football operation side of the club. It's a more senior role with a lot less public pressure. I am not suggesting it should happen, but say what you like about Goody, the players do love him and he is a big reason why many of them are committed to the club. I have no idea if he would be a good football manager, it was just a suggestion. Alan Richardson's position has come under scrutiny and he's out of contract. My bet is that his role will be reappointed regardless of what happens with Goody.

Totally agree on Viney. He's a very disciplined role player (that stupid 50m aside!). He would suit perfectly the defensive forward role. We can't have him Clarry and Trac play together in the middle anymore. That's too many one dimensional players who see ball, get ball, bomb ball. It's why Kosi is SO important because he completely changes the look of our midfield. Viney forward would also free up Chin to play a more attacking role, which is a good thing! He is fast, creative and a decent kick. People are really underestimating his season, but if he can be released to play a bit closer to goal in a more offensive role, he would definitely be hitting the scoreboard more. Right now he pushes up very high, sometimes all the way to half back doing that Nibbler role.

He can't survive two bottom 4 finishes with this list unfortunately. Whether you think our list or good or not, the club certainly thinks they are and have set clear targets around finals. He hasn't met those KPIs by any stretch, and in a performance base industry, that means his job is at risk. I wouldn't be against moving him into a footy manager role, which also negates the contract pay out issue.

Gawn is a terrible shot at goal, but he is the best player at our club and to ever suggest that he’s not giving 110% of himself every week is a horrible take. Very few would know what he even does off the field for this club on a weekly basis. He is a giant of the game who carries this side week in week out. He’s not a perfect footballer, who is? Does he need to kick easy shots at goal? Of course he does. But to suggest that he’s not out there literally putting his body thru hell at 33 years of age, is disrespectful and flat out wrong. There isn’t a player at our club who doesn’t feel lucky to be captained by Gawny. One of the greatest ever players to don the red and blue.

Can’t wait to lose the bye due to poor goal kicking

Viney to Butters for 4 quarters is maybe the worst matchup I’ve seen all year. Viney was never ever going to be able to go with him. A stupid matchup that needed to end in the first quarter. Better off putting nobody on him and playing a more attacking mid like we did to start the fourth quarter. After a great performance last week against the top team both on field (goal kicking aside) and in the coaches box, today was the total opposite. Absolute junk from defensive efforts, to ball use, to decision making, to set ups and match ups. Gawn the only winner playing against two horrible rucks. McVee will also be having a nice holiday after the bye.

Would take a miracle from here to get out the bottom 4 with the draw we have. And no first round pick to boot. Good times.
