  1. I hear you. This season is so dead to me. I'm going to go to the games (not going to Geelong this week), but the interest and motivation is non existent. Also I can't eat bananas so I'm a cheap date
  2. Bloody Mark Jamar loved speeding down Centre Rd back when he used to live in the area with his ute. He almost ran me over/ smashed into me about a dozen times. Back then he was also a massive dud, so I used to get seriously shitty with him. Now he can run me over if he so wishes because he's a gun B) I see Jordie McKenzie at the regular pub I go to in Brunswick. He is a massive nerd, but completely adorable. I'm pretty sure I made him blush a bit. Poor child.
  3. So, I really don't have time to read 3 pages. Can I just get a one word summary regarding the world ending, the club shutting down and Green being put on trial for murder?
  4. Gonna order one via the Demon shop tomorrow, and it's gonna go right to the top of the pile on the bedside table of "books I really need to read but have no time/energy to" B) Will seriously read this though. Very excited to get my head into the Jurrah story. Also listened to the interview on 3AW on my way home and thought how incredibly far Jurrah has come in terms of media performance. He speaks really well now!
  5. 198% agree. BEAT THE F' OUT OF THOSE PACK OF SCUM!!!!!
  6. Works out absolutely perfectly for my birthday weekend plans, plus we are on FTA B) We probably won't make finals and Port won't either, so no wonder we get the Sunday game. Still a decent break and I assume that should we make finals, we'll again score the Sunday spot, so a long enough turnaround after a relatively short trip.
  7. Do whatever the hell you want (and how pathetic that those who take offense to what I'm saying claim that those of us who go to games have no lives ), but don't dare whinge that we have to sell home games, play at Etihad and scrounge money to cover our debts.
  8. If you seriously think that, than you really don't get the point of this thread. I bet that there were 10,000 supporters who could have gone on Sunday, had nothing better to do, but chose not to because it was cold, the team isn't playing well or they just couldn't be bothered. If you had more important things to do, than nobody is going to blame you. Seriously, why is it that we can complain about selling home games to Darwin and Etihad and having to play at SS every year, but we can't complain about poor crown turnouts?
  9. We are never going to win premierships if Bate and Dunn are a core part of our attacking zone. Harsh, but true. We have to stop falling into these traps, the sames one that left us with the most horrible. aging, useless list in 2007 (and from which we are still trying to recover). Bate doesn't really cut it at the top level, he tries hard but has glaring deficiencies that will not change. Time to move him on. I'll be disappointed if we don't seek a trade for him at season's end. Same goes for Dunn and Warnock.
  10. Heaven help this footy club if our supporters think along these lines and cancel their memberships next year to stay home and watch games from their couch. Every supporter will come up with 100 valid excuses as to why they can't/won't go, but none of them will stand up and say "I am part of the reason why Melbourne don't get blockbuster games, why Melbourne gets home games at Etihad and has to drive to Geelong every single year, and sell home games to Darwin". We complain and whinge, but it's our doing. Sadly, those of us who go every week, without fail and without excuses, are the ones that have to suffer, along with the team. I'm not having a dig at your specifically and good on you for going today, but seriously I just really loath Melbourne supporters sometimes. Half the idiots who whinge about this club are the same ones who don't turn up to games and don't contribute financially, and as far as I'm concerned they can [censored] off.
  11. Sick of the inevitable excuses. Hawthorn were pretty young when they won a flag. Being young is not an excuse for being uncompetitive for 1.5 quarters. End of story.
  12. I'm sorry but since when do we make a decision on our coaching based on what one pimply faced kid wants? Scully has no say, should have no say, and frankly I'm sick of the notion that this kid is running the show with his demands. I doubt it's true, and even if it was, we wouldn't be listening to him. If Bailey is not the best coach we can have in 2012, then he should be gone.
  13. Yep, many of the regulars who sit around us were a no show today. Pretty pathetic. It didn't even rain. Melbourne supporters need the same dose of harden the f' up as our players.
  14. Shuffling the deckchairs. Sad. We are going to get slaughtered!
  15. And he nearly took out Jamar going for a mark that wasn't his. Jamar got up quite gingerly after that, and was rightly [censored]. I'd have give him a mouth-full too. If only he went in with as much intent into packs and tackles as he did marks in the goal square when the game is gone.
  16. How about getting Tapscott to lay a hip and shoulder on bloody Rioli?! FFS he just rips us a new one every single time we play them. He's just taking the [censored] with his performances against us. I just need someone to put him on his ass, make him feel a bit of pain. Sick and tired of the same old players bending us over every time we play them. Bennell should have played on him from the first bounce. At least make Bennell accountable and make him actually do something during a game. Ugh, just so sick of being such a joke.
  17. I refuse to give Green votes. He was selfish and soft today. Really really struggling, and it hurts me to say because I really admire him. 6- Jones 5- Rivers 4- Petterd 3- Howe 2- Martin 1- Tapscott
  18. Yeah sure, they had a dip... for about two a half quarters and then sh*t went against us and then everybody just shut up shop. I don't care that we lost, I expected it, but it's how we keep losing that is unacceptable. Why should we sit in the stands and support the players until the final siren when the players themselves don't seem to give a sh*t or want to actually fight out a match? It's embarrassing and humiliating. And Dean Bailey, FFS what the hell was that? Why is his default panic move dropping Watts back into the hole? Why the f' was Trengove in the backline when we were crying out for some talent in the middle? Why can we not play under pressure? Dumb coaching.
  19. Great. Should have stayed in bed.
  20. It's true that Scully hasn't asked for all the hype and attention, but only he can put a stop to it and he hasn't. He could have made his decision known by now, spent a few days looking at contracts and working it out. His stubborn attitude is the cause of all this media attention and I for one have stopped feeling sorry for him. He has put himself in this limbo so he has to deal with the hype. Sadly the rest of us supporters and teammates and club officials have to go along for the ride too.
  21. We are going to get smashed. Good times ahead
  22. I have no doubt that his mind is already made up, which means he is either a coward too scared to tell the club, or he's selfish and holding out for even more money even though he wants to stay. One way or the other, he now has a bit of time off to work it out and make a decision. It's impossible to keep dragging this out for another 2 months.
  23. You know what, I've supported Scully long enough but it's just [censored] now. He has at least a week off now to consider what he wants and he has to man the [censored] up and make a decision or just [censored] off. We have other contracts to sort and he surely knows what he wants now. Sort it out Scully FFS you're a grown up.
