  1. So many players have come on in leaps and bounds since Roos took over, and for the first time in a long time the team looks solid all over the park. Without Roos Jack Watts may have been delisted or traded. Without Roos Bernie Vince may not have wanted to come to the Dees Without Roos the development and belief shown by our young players may have continued to be a real problem for the club I just hope we beat the Power this week because to me if we were to drop this game it would take the gloss off what is a very positive season, especially after getting up against the hawks last week.
  2. When a player of his age has a form dip its not often reversable. Time to take old travis out behind the shed....
  3. I reckon Freo knows more about his injury than they're letting on - if Fyfe is traded I'll assume he'll be injury prone throughout the remainder of the career. High risk / High reward for anyone thinking of taking him on IMO.
  4. Mate, KPPs generally take years to develop into quality players. Compare what Jesse is doing now with what Gawn and Watts were doing at the same stage in their careers. Will be a genuine star of the comp, and that's why no dees fan should be happy to see him leave. Hopefully he's staying
  5. No way. Battler player at best and I'd prefer Pederson or Dawes as back ups
  6. If he signs it will be the first time in close to 10 years where we cannot lament list management, player management, on field performance or the running of the club! My membership roles over each year, but In terms of tangible things that I actually will do? I'll order one of those MFC novelty Christmas jumpers or a case of MFC branded Tyrells red!
  7. 2 years is a sensible contract length for player and club. Good work to all involved.
  8. Im impressed at how many people nailed their predictions. Especially those that made seemingly outlandish claims about Gawn being an AA ruckman etc. Sure he showed glimpses but I wouldn't have predicted just how great he has become
  9. I think we have 2 chances for AA selection - Gawn as #1 ruck and maybe Jack Viney on the bench I remember when Russian got an AA nod. He was great that year, but nothing like Gawn is this year. In 12 months has turned himself from a promising player into an absolute monster!
  10. Going to be a very handy player Slips under the radar and doesn't get half the media attention of Viney etc, but in time will be a very good player - another Father / Son success!
  11. Yeah if we win it will be fantastic, but if we don't show up after 'winning our GF' against the hawks it will be crushing.
  12. Hunts goal on the weekend was Chris Judd-esque!
  13. Viney was born to captain the Dees, BUT Jack Watts is a legend and has started being a real on field leader so would make a servicable captain for sure. JV7 next skipper for me, but i'd give Nathan Jones another couple of years at it though.
  14. Been a fan ever since i watches his under 18 highlights when we drafted him. Gun player and looks to be a good team man too
  15. I don't understand all the hate for posters who drip feed us rumours from their 'sources'. Right or wrong, they're like the best aspect of reading demonland so long may they continue
  16. Grand New Flag is a reliable source. Great news
  17. whatever deal we may or may not get done with bombers listed players I'll be relatively comfortable - Goodwin will know the players well enough to know whether we can afford to pay what others might see as overs or unders for them. After writing this I recall Neeld and Dawes........
  18. Schwab was just being romantic - the idea of the youngest ever AFL captain was too alluring for him to ignore. My 'favourite' stupid schwab comment was when he compared putting the Reach logo on our jumper in preseason (because we hadn't secured a major sponsor yet) to that of Unicef being on a barcelona jersey. Talk about drawing a long bow....
  19. Out: Garlett, Wagner, M. Jones In: Terlich, Grimes, Trengove I kid, the Terlich call is a troll, I'd bring in Grimes, Trengove and Oliver If Hogan is injured I'd being in Pedo not Weed.
  20. Spud and [censored] are two words used far too commonly on AFL forums but Vickery is indeed both a Spud AND a [censored] - NO THANKS!
  21. I'm going for both to be retained at this stage. Neither should play on too far into the future, but we'd have a massive hole if Hogan was to leave and we had an injury or 2 in our talls
  22. Great news. I would have been disappointed if he had left after showing such great form. Just as vital as signing hogan.
