ACC had been investigating the importation of banned substances for months in the lead up. I believe Customs noted a huge increase over the last couple of years. They knew essendon were implicated. The ACC told Vlad who then leaked it to Essendon thus the investigation being launched the day before the ACC press conference

Dunn can frustrate you because he still makes the sort of mistakes/brade fades you'd expect from a less experienced player. IMO He's best 22 though

Lets be honest, coaches are made to Look good by the cattle they have on the park. I reckon premierships aren't a great benchmark it's not the be all and end all. The difference between say Roos, woosha, chocko, lethal....there's not a lot of similarities IMO. I'm more interested in who gets the most out of what people perceive to be mediocre list. Eade and roos and maybe Craig look good to me I reckon Craig is just as good as chocko, but his crowbots team wasn't quite as good as the power side that went all the way. Just like good players who don't win flags are often better than some that do, coaches shouldn't be defined by fags

If the rumours about Craig being as good as done are true then i'm content. At least the players look like they're trying under him. Lets not kid ourselves, no iterim coach would have gotten any more out of our jaded and mentally fatigued playing group. If craig is the coach you can bet that come preseason he will have changed a thing or two with regards to the game plan & structures - things he didnt have the time to do in the interim role.

Bodes well for the club (AFL fines/sanctions), not the player (WADA code). If a Medical Professional is supporting the use of a supplement, you’d assume its legit. If the supplement turns out to be banned I'd say it’s more like professional negligence from Dr Bates than it is sloppy governance from the FD or administration. Especially when compared to what we’ve heard has taken place at Essendon. The AFL is just as concerned about the fact that the Bombers didn’t respect the medical advice they were getting as they are about the staus of AOD etc

To be honest I'd happily see a couple of our guys be given bans if they've broken the anti doping rules. The whole tanking thing was so much harder to take because we didn,t seem to have broken any rules. No one could even define what tanking is, and why its even a problem when the system is set up in a way that you could argue there are tanking cases each season. The one thing that bodes well for us in the drug case is that at least our doctor was involved and supported the use of the supplements. Part of the issue at Essendon is that they were pushing the limits while showing a blatant disregard to their own medical teams advice. That's why they will go down regardless of the WADA/ASADA ruling.
