I honestly can't remember a more high stakes game. Realistically the North and Suns games are the two I would have thought we won on paper. Suns seem legit now, so arguably the North Loss is the main cause for disgust, and maybe we'd have been better on the G. Having said all that Essendon is a team we should beat. On paper and on form. Gather round is always dicey though

The stats tell you what the eye does. We're second to the ball and need to improve in all facets of the game. Shocked to see Roo, Disco and Melk in the top 10 rated players. Not that their ratings are particularly high. Probably again reinforces how much we need to lift across the field

Yesterday the whole team fumbled and looked unsure about what to do with or without the ball. Clearly unsure about what this new game plan is. Goal kicking aside, that's quite different that the 2023 finals series where we looked like a strong and confident team.

There is a significant % of Melbourne Fans who are going hard at the club and playing group after 3 games. It's a long season and writing off 50% of the playing list, wanting the coach sacked, and just generally potting the club so early in the season is a no win situation. Hawks started last year slowly, unsure about their new game style. Lions were slow starters too. I don't think we're a contender, and probably not even a finals team this year, but I see far more to gain out of supporting the team as they navigate a change in game style, rather than the constant hand wringing and sooking. Couldn't believe the Muppet on the DeeBreif calling for Adam Simpson to be our coach before the seasons end. Similarly the amount of people wanting Viney and TMac to retire is disgusting. Keen to hear others thoughts on this. Surely there are still a few of us willing to support the team

Very difficult to see any upside here. Kozzy, Lever, Judd, Windsor all will help but you'd really think some of the team out there would show a bit more than they currently are. It's a changing of the guard though. Suns and Roos will both be good this year

I was so fuc%ing glad to see Carlton loose. Takes the pressure off us to rebound (or maybe the pressure off us supporters) For what it's worth I think we will win. We play the G better than the Suns and I'm backing JVR to do what chin did and have an elite game. Let's fuc$ing go Dees

I'd be backing a relitlvley unchanged lineup, save for the obvious changes like May and Windsor slottingin if fit. We play the G well and Sun's are learning to win away from home. Let most of the same guys have a crack at redeeming themselves imo. The way we got beaten but at centre bounce in the last, was like the last game of the season in 21 when the cats put us to the sword early from centre bounce too. No one remembers getting smacked around like that when they look back at 2021. Clearly we won that game after the siren, bit the point is we're weren't Invincible when we won the flag. We just had a collective buy in and team 1st ethos. Hopefully the negativity galvanises the group like it did for the Saints and Power who both bounced back from heavy losses

Whenever I'm in Melbourne I'll grab a GA ticket and see an extra game at the Dome. Typically there are always empty seats all over the place and once you're in you can just sit wherever isn't taken. I wouldn't stress too much about finding 3 seats together for this fixture haha
