Oh well its a forum so for what its worth I liked the Cameron Schwab effort and think the new one is boring and bland. We seem to have never been able to get it right and fully expect someone else will change it again in a couple of years. For the moment however its what we've got , so we live with it, like it or not.

I hope its Parish and a big tall forward who can get the ball and kick goals as we don't kick enough. End of Christmas wishes.
-
Very sad day. Magnificent player. Strong, highly skilled, could kick it a mile.

Presume such qualification by the manager is within the rules, but IMO such action borders on unfairness buy shutting other potential bidders out compromising real trade. Hope Adelaide steps up to the plate.

How many under 180 do you need on your list? How many in the Hawthorn or Freo sides? Bit unRoos like to go for midgets.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
Dockett 32 replied to Theo's topic in Melbourne Demons
Totally blindsided by this one. WADA and $400pa bothers me, but after last year who am I to criticize. Assume they know what they want and why. -
The didn't ask me either.
-
See Jack couldn't make it into the best 22 under 22 at the AFLPA awards. Surprises me.
-
Not that its the real issue, but Picket do you think a few women would be encouraged to join the MFC or reject it on the back of her address? IMO she was terrific.
-
If they somehow get through to the grand final they will have a bit of crowd support.
-
Reckon that's a reasonable line WJ

Daisy was exceptional. Being the cynic that I am, I don't believe the AFL will let it see the light of day, not because of the good news for women, but because our club's initiative , support and to use her words pioneering. Hope I'm totally wrong and simply normal paranoia, but I believe her speech should be promoted, it was outstanding.

Brisbane Lions correct last year re priority picks when they were anti us getting one after winning 40 games or something in 9 years. On that basis current requests ridiculous. Don't recall Carlton supporting us either last year. As for attempting to lift the value of Kruezer, cant argue with that, we would too if in that position, but the market will ultimately decide re size of contract offered, amongst other things. But a Frawley he aint.

on NITV now the big fella

Some people, I think, are trying, or will try to blur the compensation for losing a free agent and a priority pick. IMO they are unrelated with the precedent set/confirmed last year. Blurring the rules doesn't cut it, but precedent surely must. I also am enjoying recalling the words from the Lions last year in relation to their objection to our case for a PP which surely was stronger than their current position. On reflection however ,maybe they were right last year in relation to PP's and no one should get one.

Can't see how Carlton would be out of this (should they want to be in it) with pick one and maybe two . Believe it has been stated somewhere, deal will done on the best basis for GWS. Remember we worked a little magic with Tyson and Salem and there is also the Silvagni connection. How do Collingwood beat that? All sounds very bland to this point but funny things can happen.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
Dockett 32 replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Would Andrew Moore from Port Adelaide be worth a look. 189 and quick? Cant get past Gray , Wingard, Hartlett and co. but has done well in the SANFL. Also a Melbourne supporter as a kid I believe. -
Would prefer Tomlinson myself.
-
Just paid my membership. Come on they need a hand.
-
Some on here will
-
We need size, speed, brilliance and mongrel. If he has these qualities and is better than other options go for it. If not no thanks. Heritage should have nought to do with it. Collingwood ended up with a hell of a job tipping out Clokes and Shaws
-
Just normal Hawthorn stuff. ( part of the early training I suspect is the kneedrop, coathanger, professional corkee and elbow slam.)

Delistings/trades at end of the season

Under drug cloud and on the slow side. Wouldn't have thought he would fit the bill. -
Here we go again, must put in the diary for next year.
