  1. Either way who cares?. Beautiful destabilisation by PJ and the club and you can bet plenty of others will/have joined us. Meanwhile you wouldn't know who we are really looking at would you? Boy we've come a long way.
  2. How about we just keep Hoges! We want to win a premiership don't we?
  3. Thought his selection was ok. Contribution exceeded Newton and ANB the previous couple of weeks.
  4. We used to call it staging and used to have umpires who were smart enough to never pay it, so it went away!
  5. Was a terrible error at a critical time. Should be banished for sure and there shouldn't be any complaints .He knows he potentially ruined a game and maybe even a finals spot. Just hopeless really.
  6. Umpire flustered in the Vince incident. ( Shouldn't have been) 2 weeks at Shepparton. Clearly a baby slap. Umpire hoodwinked in the ducking incident of No.40 of Hawthorn. No football intelligence to tell when he was conned. 2 weeks at Ballarat. Neither should officiate in the big time next week. Both shockers.
  7. Would have preferred Grimes to Harmes today. Same applies next time.
  8. Reckon there will be a fair number of positives to come out of this, although final quarter not acceptable. General effort, Jack Trengove return , Petracca, Wagner has done pretty well for a kid out of the blue, midfield much better than the past, backs acceptable, Dawes competes. There's probably more, but we were in it for a long way. Fearless ability to deliver the killer punch ( am I allowed to say that?) the lesson of the week. No point in doing the hard yards for 3 quarters and then not get the chocolates.
  9. Hope a better message is sent to Grimes, Trenners ,Dunne and Dawes this week and an important one in terms of required weekly performance level also sent to Kent,Newton,ANB,OMac,Harmes.
  10. I thought he was ok, last quarter was good. It all takes time. Happy to be patient with Oscar, he has one key ingredient in that he is a competitor like his brother.
  11. Deal not having been completed with Tom seems very strange to me. He is a good to very good player with a few limitations IMO, not big enough for the real Gorillas however. Has he already allowed himself into a Frawley, Scully like situation and is in reality playing games with his club and team mates? Geez I hope not, could be a horrible black mark for him. Really hope he and the club get to the table quickly. This bloke has been a lion for us and I hope he stays to be part of what is becoming apparent.
  12. Frost or OMac would have at least given us a couple of options. Hope they rectify that this week, plus ANB probably for Oliver or Hunt. Maybe Grimes or White for one of the other kids ( not Petracca or Stretch) Dawes, The Van , Trenners not prepared enough yet. IMO our selection hasn't been all that brilliant at times.
  13. Tyson Jetta Stretch Kennedy McDonald Vince
  14. Evening great, unfortunately the showing of his football highlights ( courtesy of Channel 7) although good, didn't really to the man justice. Whispering describes him as a raging bull and I reckon that is about right. Never seen the likes of his strength , toughness or courage since.
  15. Is he premiership material? Pretty sure Hogan will be.
  16. Happy to be comforted on this by GNF on this one. Been bruised by people leaving in the past. Retention of Hogan would categorically put an end to that and send a forceful message.
  17. Dunn was poor last week, poor again . Are Hunt, Bugg and Harms better players than Brayshaw, Trengove and Oliver? There was a thread where does Dawes fit in? ANB , Minchie ,Garland with a chance to prove themselves in the reserves. Second game we've lost that we shouldn't have. Key forward kicks 7 and we lose. Reckon there should be at least three changes next week , perhaps even more.
  18. If the Kangaroos were prepared to move to Tassie , might change the dynamic and make a few Taswegians happy in the process. Lets go with that one for a while, should be worth a giggle.
  19. Hawks will jump all over this. Eddy will blow a gasket and the rest of the clubs will have their two bobs worth. Could be good theatre.
  20. Looks like a long slow burn ahead at Freo, 4-5 year rebuild maybe. Would anyone want to put themselves through that again ?
  21. Being able to play very unsociable football, when required, is a great addition to the teams skills. We haven't quite got it to 'professional corkies , dropping of knees or coat hangers but we seem to be able to respond well enough these days.
