  1. Agree with JKH but one change would not reflect the 'capitulation' Roos referred in his presser. He was calm but I sensed he was very dirty.
  2. Agree re JKH but Michie has been banging on the door for sometime. No worse than many today. Gawn and Spencil have 100 times more grunt than Jamar.
  3. 6. Tom McDonald 5.J.Viney 4.C.Salem 3.J.Hogan 2.Cross 1.Ben Newton
  4. Ok pound Dawes if you want, but how many possessions did Vince ,Tyson and Jones have collectively? Less than a normal Ablett game on his own probably. Supply was somewhat reduced. They are also on the slow side with Cross. JKH and Toump omissions a factor I reckon. Leadership and physical presence by some of "The old boys" a joke. Watch for Vander and Brayshaw to get dropped to fix the problem
  5. Demons still $2.95 in a two horse race. Seems generous to me!
  6. Come on please we got the result . If your auntie had you know whats, she'd be you know who, Garlett kicked 2.4 etc etc.
  7. Tommy Mc obviously reflecting and deciding not to kick across the ground in the last quarter.
  8. I hope that if he doesn't play ones, he absolutely blitzes at Casey and that he presses hard for selection next week. Like others I believe he was massively overloaded as Captain and did very well to cope with this and represent us. More importantly , I hope the players in the senior side ,realise this or a similar act from another player at Casey could very well happen and are therefore on immediate notice about their spots ( no matter who they are). Hope Max Gawn and others put in a good ones too.
  9. Just love the term " Recreational Drugs".
  10. Be interesting the selection of the first side. For the first time in a while we have significant in house pressure being applied to the midfield . Vince, Brayshaw , Michie, JKH and the Van will be pushing for a spot. . On the other hand Roos as a good and calm coach tends to stand by his men and give them every chance to perform. I suspect the position would be pretty much as Roos would like it. He's already had the practice matches to partly assess. Rohan Bail and Matty Jones might get a couple more chances but would need to contribute on the scoreboard or come under pressure from those who can.
  11. There's two ways Viney can respond and a kick in the nuts can often sharpen your focus.
  12. Only practice matches. Good to get a few non negotiables and other issues sorted. Viney and Hogan will be very good. Still only young but no doubt bout their endeavour . Soft underbelly and leadership strength from senior players more concern for me.
  13. Very good again. Sounded a bit tired, but he continues to impress.
  14. I hope Hogan as the whole team structure would take on a new appearance and allow us to play different and more flexible footy.
  15. Good luck to him reckon he'll be lucky to play 30 games for Geelong and he's a gr.b to boot. At this stage happy to have H aboard. So far he's done all he can to get us moving and been a great role model for the younger brigade. No wrist cutting here.
  16. They should have done better. Not sure why but pretty sure they might get the message now.
  17. The Newton/Michie thing is good either way. Puts pressure on all the midfield to win their positions each week. Throw in Brayshaw and the Van and we have better options now.
  18. I kind of hope the focus player movement these days, becomes more about who or what you get, rather than who you lose. You can in reality do very little about the latter. The rules are clear as to when FA and RA trigger ( albeit the AFLPA wants to lower even further) so the dilution of appropriate compensation for losses in this area would make process inequitable IMO, yet the drums beat from time to time. Organising other trades within contract is somewhat easier rests with the clubs.
