Welcome to Demonland: Picks 7 & 8
Think you might be right. Spargs about the same size struggled to impact. B.O.B looks alright

The Aidan Schubert Thread
We might soon with Max’s age, but Heath & White arriving, wouldn’t think another tall is a necessity. Similarly we are ok for smalls Picket, Viney, Chandler, Tholstrop, Laurie. More bigger fast running Mids , to replace Trac and Clarrie seem to be the requirement.

AFL Draft 2025: Phantom Drafts
Leave it to Taylor as absolute top talent likely to be gone before we arrive. Personally just like to see us pick up of adaptable ,big strong bodies who are quick, tough competitors and hit targets. Re smalls we are fortunate to have Viney,Ozzie, Chandler,Tholstrop, Laurie . The latter two should see more opportunity under new coach.

Farewell Christian Petracca
Taylor and Lamb have plenty of time to execute this. No need for panic stations . Think it’s got to be a player + for Trac, as they knew it unlikely we could get low enough in the draft for the real top end kids for starters. Trade game still on and our terms unchanged. McVee for round about expectations ( better than letting him walk to draft). Result satisfactory. GWS still keen on Oliver and can deal , Collingwood seem a long way off. Be interesting what Collingwood offer. Technically don’t have to let Clarry or Trac do we?

Farewell Christian Petracca
Yes. No one seems to be listening. GCS get 7 for Flanders and suggestion is for us to accept 6 and a couple and a couple of other later first round picks that will be pushed back? That’s not a head turner it’s a complete rogering. Lamb won’t fall for that. Seems to me a suitable player ( as well as picks) needs to involved in any trade. We are in complete control of a suitabl Looking like no suitable player needs/ no trade. 6 or 7 and suitable player gets it done. Everything else no thanks. Lambs in control and extra later picks have no value.

Farewell Christian Petracca
No. We want a quality player and draft pick for a top 5 player in the competition. A head turner.

Think I’m with you. 7 and 17 makes no sense and would spook too many horses.

Farewell Christian Petracca
Wow what a head turner!!!!! Couldn’t possibly be correct. Where would that leave Lambs credibility?

Bailey Humphrey
Hardly head turning.

6 & 7 will effectively turn out to be what with academy picks factored in?

I would think that we need a ‘head turning deal ‘ as previously stated . To expect less would create a rather nasty precedent of us being complete draft pushovers.

Oops stumpy fingers!

Refer Bolton trade. Traps better than him!

Imploding
Think you might be right. Maybe Goodwin found it a bit hard to go the tough love to some who went over the mountain with/ for him. Our performance and hard edge has been off for two years.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
It’s mentioned 14 ( marked back to 30) and change for Trac. That would be miles off the ‘correct compensation’ the club has mentioned. More likely GCS sent him to Adelaide in an attempt to better 14+ with 11+ Neither should work. Surely 6+ or he stays . I believe in the Golden Rule. We’ve got the gold ,so we make the rules.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
Sometimes in life, you have to put a line in the sand. Actually agreed with Buckley on the subject the other day when it was about Essendon as well as ourselves.

The point about Trac’s negotiating position is well made by a number on here. The clubs in a very strong position . Where Trac lands is in the clubs hands as are any negotiating terms. IMO Bolton to Freo precedent last year should be the starting point for any suitors.

My 3 word player analysis V West Coast
Sparrow was respectable. Body on the line as always.

? We were never prepared properly for rounds 1-5 and after that we were playing catch up. We have to be hard , fit and ready to start well at round 1 not round 6. Other clubs are prepared , we were most definitely not!

Tripe served cold ,but only for the entire season! The club set up a 0/5 start and is finishing with this sort of tripe. Get real. The

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
We were totally unprepared to start the season. This should never be. The football department needs complete overhaul.

POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
0/5 start says it all. Completely gut wrenching. On the back foot thereafter. How could we be so seemingly underprepared to start the season?

Time to go Goody?
Not to mention playing in the tropics last week. Be very surprised if Goody has something to do with that.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Gold Coast
Felt we were underprepared for the season right from the outset. No CEO. Silence on Caulfield flattening. Injuries and unavailability Just an unprofessional mess. Think we might be about to eat into our Bentleigh Club capital.
