  1. Is it just me who flinches whenever a forum or live chat is called a "blog"? Even worse when a blog post is called a "blog". That's the kind of frustration that you can't even write in to the papers about.
  2. I'd take Todd Viney over him any day of the week. Just stick to doing hammies on national TV Gaz.
  3. I've already received a couple of things in the mail. Thanks to those who have contributed.
  4. Currently it's a 34 for the Stefan Martin Experience, but I pine for the #28 of Philthy Phil
  5. Their fans stopped us from being a [censored] of a merged club. Good enough for me.
  6. R1, 2006 over Footscray in Darwin http://wiki.fcmelbourne.com.au/tiki-index.php?page=2006+NAB+Cup+Round+1 The last time I ever completely forgot that we were playing and missed a game.
  7. Post updated with properly scanned versions of the zones.
  8. As an aside to this post and the mention of the country zones, I found these two pictures of the old residential zones in the ECH Taylor 100 Years of Football book from 1958. It's nice how our residential zone to the North West ends (presumably where North's started) at the Spencer Street Railway Yards - not exactly a throbbing residential area.
  9. Great post. Really enjoyed this. Hope you're planning to do more.
  10. Tell him that SCULLGOVE will be present. He'll sign right up. Sure he can't come to a game where we're not going to get thrashed?
  11. What bits did McDonald say, and what bits did your friend say. That paragraph makes absolutely no sense.
  12. Same day as St. Kilda Festival? Good luck getting car parking within 5km of the place. UPDATE - Of course I can't tell the difference between March and February. WITHDRAWN.
  13. I'll be there making wild and premature judgements about how good we are.
  14. Mine are fine. The 2010 sticker on the number plate and the jumper MEMBER 10 one on the back window. In other news I'm shattered at losing my OBAMA '08 bumper sticker in a bumper bar swap after some [censored] ran into me in traffic.
  15. Just realised I've agreed to work on the day. WAH. No broadcast booth for me. Here endeth the sizzle
  16. Wild. I hope the Pies line up with the same forward line. Deserves to be kept for posterity. Now to find a way to break into the old broadcast tower at Vic Park! (i.e - Just opening the door and kicking out the dero who lives there)
  17. That Dunn mo is rancid. He must have lost a bet.
  18. If anybody has got a camera we can use for this can you please let me know? Suffice to say that while our players will be called by their chosen names, opposition players will be assigned names of random players from their respective teams.
  19. Anybody got the teams for the 87/89 Night Grand Finals? Also looking for * A heap of photos of players from the 80's and early 90's so if anybody has a stash lying around I'd be keen on discussing further. * Full Best and Fairest vote counts and placings from pre-2000 * Club award winners from previous years * A lot of Best First Year Players from 1994 and before (What I've got can be found at http://wiki.fcmelbourne.com.au/tiki-index.php?page=best+first+year+player) And heaps of other stuff.. Whatever you've got I'm in.
  20. I'll never take a "training the house down" rumour seriously again after the John Meesen debacle.
  21. Great idea. I've got a few things that I'd love to see go to a good home.
  22. Just to repeat the earlier post I'd love to call the game if somebody could organise the camera and somewhere to work it from. Other than that I'll put myself down as an assistant coach/waterboy and fill in if the numbers are too low on the day.
  23. Not saying they're not connected, but I've got the two trades listed separately. Stephen Powell from Footscray for selection 35 (Patrick Wiggins) Matthew Bishop to Port Adelaide for selection 42 (Michael Clark) Somebody would have to look at the original draft order.
  24. Golf has a World Cup. Nobody cares. This is the same. Who gives a rats about which country is better than which in an individual sport? The Davis Cup only survives because of tradition. Next thing somebody will suggest team knockout swimming.
