AFLW Trade Period 2025
It's such a shame that Mackin got hurt, because her development across a handful of games pointed to a really good player in the future.

AFLW Trade Period 2025
I agree we need more midfield and defensive cover, but what I'd love is a forward who can pull goals out of thin air. We get the ball down there enough, but need more danger when the ball hits the ground. God knows what's going on with Pisano, who was a high draft pick and has a contract for another two years that couldn't get a game at the end of the year. Mahony looked good in the Adelaide final but is there any potential for pinching an experienced player from another side to slot in?

W Awards 2025, Monday 24th November, 8.30pm
Look, I know umpires can't look at the stats but 50% of her disposals hit a target so maybe I'm being a bit harsh and they can tell the difference between two players whose surname starts with the same letters and are one number apart. There was a similar fiasco in 2018 when Emma Humphries got three votes for this game, and she was also jumper #3 so maybe it's a slow-burning number-related conspiracy.

The umpires clearly confused Purcell and Pisano in Round 1. Absolutely farcical.

Welcome to Demonland: MA Services Group
That beats Opel by about 740.

Wildcard Round
I hate the idea anyway, but calling them 'Wildcard' games is toe-curlingly cringeworthy. Can't wait for AFL stooge journalists to remind me what a fantastic concept this is when it brings 'meaning' to a Round 20 Port vs Richmond game that I wouldn't give a rats about under any circumstances.

AFLW: QF vs Brisbane
It's been covered up by thrashing [censored] teams, but our forward line is too tall*. Let's see what happens next week if Zanker doesn't play, but there's too much reliance on marks. We need somebody who can either pluck goals from thin air and/or apply defensive pressure. Pisano hasn't set the world on fire yet, but they drafted her at pick five and extended her contract to 2027 for a reason, what's the point of her ending the season playing half-[censored] scratch matches? (* If Zanker stays, I think Bannan might be the odd one out. She's got a few years on Harris, but none of the versatility.)

Big Cox
I'd have been open to this two years ago when Brown was wrecked and we may have avoided both the Petty forward and JVR second ruck fiascos, but no thanks in 2026.

Complimentary player to Jack Hiscock.

We Owe Pies
Beating them more than once every five years would be good. Otherwise it's a sad one-way rivalry where our fans do their block and theirs only care about us twice a year.

Lachy Dovaston
Good for a 'When A Doves Cry' headline after we lose in disastrous circumstances.

The MFC Website Needs an Update
Be careful or they'll replace them with the weird AI match preview posts. This was my favourite because it looks like there's a floating ice cream in the distance.

Equalisation AFL
There's always clubs that will lock players away on huge long term contracts that don't work out and end with a mad scramble to give them away. But enough about us...

Troy Chaplin MFC interim coach 2025
Time for a Veale Deal style trade rort where they swap us a slightly better pick before he's coincidentally allowed to leave.

Melbourne Storm
I wonder if they get more money than us out of the Grill'd sponsorship. Certainly more guaranteed views in September.

Imploding
I can't take all the self-pity over all this, it reminds me of the Collingwood fans who were about to set themselves on fire the night Treloar etc... were traded. Shame we have to lose multiple club legends at the same time, but that's the modern business and it's not like any of them are at their peak. I'm saving my outrage for when the replacement players are hacks or play three games in five years.

AFLW: Rd 07 vs Gold Coast
I thought Rigoni did alright in her appearances so far, but Johnson is way out of her depth. Taylor has easily been our most improved player this season, so hopefully this is a short term injury. Can understand not picking Campbell if it's going to be wet and windy, but they want her to replace Pearce long-term they'll have to find a way to get her back in the team eventually without making us ludicrously tall.

If you want to cross-reference just in case, I have a list of lower grade players/recruits/people who showed up for one training session http://demonwiki.org/Other%20Players + lists of those we don't currently have a first name for. http://demonwiki.org/Unknown+Players+1890s-1920s http://demonwiki.org/Unknown+players+1930s-1940s ... and

AFL Emotional Baggage Index
Obviously the answer is St Kilda, but if the trauma was weighted for age there's a big difference between a 50 year old Essendon fan with memories to hold on to and a 20 year old Essendon fan who has bugger all.

Tassie Devils Possible Extinction
Assuming the AFL's cash reserves are back up post-COVID, any chances of them buying a percentage of the stadium to help fund it?* * If they're really serious about this getting up.

Jack Henderson Re-Signs for 1 Year
Odd debut season - picked for Round 1 after zero practice games alongside his new teammates, then got dropped and never looked like being recalled before his injury. Doesn't hurt to park some experience on the list but not holding my breath for him making a big difference in the future.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
He can stay or go, but at some point it would be nice to get an update directly from the player rather than by sticking pieces of media leaks together like a jigsaw.

State of Origin is Back
Massive excitement in year one, players chucking a sickie in year two, 20,000 people watching games against the Allies in year three.

Farewell Charlie Spargo
Wish him well, but feels like somebody who does their best work as part of a good team rather than being a difference-maker.

AFLW: Rd 04 vs Richmond
I'd like to put in a word for Saraid Taylor, who has been really good in the homebrand backline. Still don't like our chances of beating the top teams, but for now happy to beat up on the strugglers.
