  1. Needs to learn how to mark the ball again. Maybe the mooted move to defence may suit him now that we have amore solid backline.
  2. Was he 3rd in the 2km time trial ? Wasn't aware he was that quick over distance. Seems to have a few evasive tricks up his sleeve, Can see him bedding down a spot if he gets some confidence . Has always looked a bit nervous with ball in hand. He was recruited with Bowey as one of the two best kicks in the draft. We haven't really seen that from him yet. Bailey if your reading this, the time is NOW.
  3. Louis need to put on a few Kg's
  4. I have a lot of fingers and toes crossed that MJ works out for us.
  5. I heard he used to play for Manchester United....
  6. Its never a good time but to do it in pre-season seems so cruel. Couldn't see him playing next year. He will have to rehab essentially until March 2025. And from memory he will be out of contract at the end of 2024. Its a 2 way street with contracts. Get injured and you could get shafted with a poor contract.
  7. The most depressing thread at this time of year.....
  8. Gee, three first round draft picks would have been handy right about now for WCE....
  9. What a great listen. Kid speaks very well. I have a good feeling about him after that
  10. TMac became a great kick for goal when he started guiding the ball onto his boot. Its a very low drop with a smaller margin for error.
  11. Billings cost nothing, has great experience and good skills. You need a squad of players to win a flag. And multiple 18yo's won't cut it
  12. Seems to have a nice low ball drop which is often a sign of good kickers. Tracc could learn something!
  13. (waiting for....) I am shocked that he didn't fully disclose his strategy. We are paying members after all..
  14. I reckon there would only be about 4 in existence :)
  15. My understanding is the AFL ran the case and their lawyers had no right of reply and/or were very limited in how they could respond to the outrageous claims by the COll camp. Whether this was by design or how its done I don't know. And certainly having a well known Collingwood supporter as the Tribunal Chair was a ridiculous conflict. It all added up to the AFL wanted Maynard to get off
  16. This is highly likely but I get why clubs do it.
  17. Been watching some 2021 games. Thee is no doubt we played with more freedom in 2021. We were extremely unselfish and looked for other players nearly every time. Lots of pats on the back, helping players up when they were on the ground, stepping in when an oppo player was trying to be tough etc That care for our team mates and 'selflessness' disappeared in 2023. Maybe the 2021 hub was conducive to playing like that but thats what we have to get back to.
  18. We committed to Ollie Wines pre draft..... Just sayin....
  19. They still get paid. They're just not on a list. Not sure why this is a problem They're being paid for nothing and can go to another club if they're good enough
  20. He won four flags. 84/85, 93 (fined afterwards for salary cap breaches which taints that flag IMO) and 2000 when some say they should have won three flags. He was a good motivator but you're over-egging his record
  21. No hindsight required. We played Carlton and Coll in rd 11 and 12 and won both against two ruck The footy dept stuffed up
  22. Neale on 98 Votes Petracca on 93 votes Neale has won 2 Brownlows and should have been 3 Brownlows because Patrick Cripps should have been suspended.. Petracca has won none. I know who I'd rather have in my team
  23. I think we have overdone the kick ins to Max down the left side. I am pretty shrewd and I reckon the comp is onto us. Just a hunch
