  1. The media commentary around this is disgraceful. But whats new. Both players had a choice here and they chose not to shirk and run straight at the ball. The fact that Evans govt there a split second beforehand appears to be lost here. As is the fact that May did not deviate, did not brace, did not leave the ground and had his hands in a fwd scooping motion fully expecting to collect the ball. Why is it only May that has a 'duty of care' ? What about Evans who saw may heading straight for the ball as well. he didn't deviate or brace for contact either. Why does may have to be the one who stops or deviates? Why couldn't Evans move to one side and try to retrieve the ball with one hand? I hate the AFL. Every single one of them at AFL house should be sacked. The incident with Alex Pearce earlier in the year was worse in a number of ways yet he got off. He braced for contact and was clearly not going to get to the ball first. Oh and he left the ground https://www.facebook.com/AFL/videos/alex-pearce-three-match-suspension/1245191583995603/
  2. So we have demonstrably got worse in the past 4 years and its just 'carry on' as you are. No discernable game plan, players getting worse at a personal level, few players have improved, same problems of scoring and 'connection, same midfield that are turnover merchants, no key fwd, same selection issues.. Have I missed anything? We re pretty much irrelevant now with terrible timeslots and a media that couldn't care less about the Demons. This administration and coaching panel - or lack of it - is killing the club
  3. Kolt hasn't shown much buts its clear that he's being treated differently to KBrown and BLaurie
  4. Well he's failing that as well
  5. Another game by the Dees where we won expected score Yay 75 to 64 We would be Expected score Premiers by now.
  6. So long as we dont use that useless Adrian Anderson for our defence I;ll be happy Someone should speak to Paul Guerra about our choice of counsel.....
  7. Having watched t replay Jefferson would not have kicked it in any case. He has been Melbournised and can't kick 30m Nothing against the young man but he isn't cut out for AFL
  8. Simon, we get it. Keep shouting same tripe. We don't believe you are up to it anymore.
  9. 13 Premiership players against a team missing 10 of their best 22 Unless we change coaching nothing will change.
  10. My take is that aside from Pickett the others struggle to play in any other position. Tracc could play fwd if he could kick but we know thats a hopeless cause. So we can't afford to have these guys playing anywhere else. Wouldn't surprise to see Viney and Oilver on the trade table.
  11. If you did the basic level of research you would listen to the audio of Daniel Hoyne saying exactly what I talked about. If you want to rely on third party articles go for you life.
  12. Interesting that the professionals gawn and Goodwin were caught on the go by the rule change. I was at that game and it was gobsmacked how Gawn did nothing to counteract Grundys tactics. And why didn't the assistant coaches or Goodwin address it during the game. It was blindingly obvious what Grundy was doing. 3/4 time we were only a kick down and it was a shock when we lost. Perplexing
  13. Not sure where to put this so started a thread. For those on here who say changing game plan takes time I just laugh. I frankly think its pathetic. 'Oh it takes years to ingrain a new game plan'. It is just excuses for poor coaching. And to back that up Daniel Hoyne from Champion Data talked last night about the Brisbane Lions . For the past 2 1/2 years they have been the bottom 2 for aggression at moving the ball forward. The bottom 2 slowest moving ball team in the competition. Chip Mark, Chip mark. Uncontested marks, short kicks before getting the ball 50 to score. 2023 3rd slowest , 2024 second slowest The first 12 weeks of 2025 they were the 2nd slowest in getting the ball forward. The last 6 weeks they are the 4th most aggressive side in the comp. A complete change of style. In season. All during this time they have been a regular finalist and won a flag. How is it that the Lions can make a complete change to their game style in season? We have been told on here that it is impossible. here's the link you can listen for yourselves. We can barely recognise what our game plan is. Apple PodcastsFull On Footy Analysis with Champion Data's Daniel Hoyne...Podcast Episode · Sportsday · 15/07/2025 · 43m
  14. The Bailey Fritsch from the North Melbourne game is a required player. The Bailey Fritsch from the previous 2 years not so much.
  15. Better still, drive on the footpath, its much safer
  16. Well we did get beaten by both North and Essendon .....
  17. Watch this space.
  18. So Xerri has put Max down a couple of times, hit Jefferson with a forearm to the head, hit Lindsay in the head and Concussed Sparrow. When the [censored] does the AFL hit this guy with some serious sanctions.
  19. Maybe a bit harsh on the one trick pony. He's never really been able to play one on one though and now he's slower of body and mind it's really causing issues for us..
  20. I would check your meds if you see any resemblance between Jefferson and Buddy.
  21. 9:32 to go in the 4th qtr, boundary throw in just after the Kolt scrap in the fwd pocket
  22. Lever is a bit of a one trick pony and too prone to brain fades. All of his career. Its just that now he's slower it he can't hide it anymore.
  23. Pretty sure you know exactly how it will pan out. Favourites in regardless of preparation.
  24. Just watching the replay and Xerri did the same thing to Jefferson in the last (1h:55 into the replay). Same swinging arm. Less impact. There should be extra weeks because he had form. Thats also the problem when the umps don't pay a free to Jefferson. He thinks he can get away with it.
  25. You can't debate with Simon181 he lives in an alternative universe
