Behind the scenes on draft night
It's edited so they are hardly likely to say publicly damn our preferred pick was taken so got our next pick who's not as good. Enjoy it for what it is. We have drafted 4 very good/exciting candidates with high ceilings

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Thread closed. He doesn't GAF about us supporters. I feel the same way about him. Once he retires I'll again laud him as a champion of the MFC

Welcome Back Cookie
Brings a s much cred if not more that Peter Jackson I didn't have high hopes with Guerra if I am honest but he has impressed me to date and hasn't put a foot wrong. Has taken some very hard decisions which takes guts and conviction. I feel we are in very good hands with the new Administration

Why the Eagles messed up the Draft?
Never forget the prelim in 2018. They were beyond obnoxious

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Yeah sorry, that was in 2021. Like Clarrie and Tracc you're living off past glories. The footy world has moved on. Since Clarrie was '2 way running' Brisbane have won 2 flags How are we travelling?

Welcome to Demonland: Riley Onley
Clarry, Tracc and Viney say hi....

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Take your point re hands but his 2 way running was pretty much non existent which is critical for today's mids. Add that to his disruptive influence and it was inevitable a new coach would want to assert his team first approach

Welcome to Demonland: Xavier Taylor
His footy looks good but I have a slight unease about his 'professionalism'. I get he's barely out of school but hopefully we now have some good role models for him to knuckle down and get the best out of himself.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
But you're happy to pay 700k for him to play in the reserves? the new Sheriff in town laid out the ground rules and CO said 'I'm off' Says it all for me. He has let us down repeatedly in the past 2 years. What's changed that is going to make hime play better?

Blake Howes 2026
Howes has played 28 games He's a good size, has taken a while to get up to pace of seniors but he has a chance to cement a spot. I watch other clubs and see how some players transform themselves over a summer. Maybe they get specialised training maybe they decide to give it a real crack but they come back like they mean it. I hope Howes does that. Has some tools and now has the pace of the game. Go well young man.

Welcome to Demonland: Thomas Matthews
This is a thread about a new recruit Tom Matthews I am happy with this guy. Leadership, hardness, skills, speed and goal kicking. Was nominated as the best 'trainer' in their pre-season. A little bit of Jamie Elliot about him from his highlights - one can dream. Let's hope it can translate to senior level. I wish him all the best.

Welcome to Demonland: Thomas Matthews
Imagine if a male supporter did that at an AFLW training session....creepy

2025 MFC Financial Result
We have a business where the revenue/spending is very heavily impacted by onfield performance, player contracts and sponsorship. Even merchandise and club events get heavily impacted by team performance. Its not as easy as you seem to think it is.

Welcome to Demonland: Riley Onley
I don't want to pot the guy as I have only seen his 3 mins of highlights but they dont appear to be as high as some of the other draftees. Will be watching his developement keenly

Welcome to Demonland: Riley Onley
Watched his highlights....hmmm he's tall-ish...

Still no way forward
Jeff whites recent video explains it very nicely King has all the IP needed to implement a better structured forward half game. And 2 of the biggest butchers in the middle have left the building
