I see him as a Membrey type (the type that always seems to tear us a new one). Not the main or even second key forward, but causes the opposition a headache given his in between size.

Clearly this Nick Bowen doesn't have too much of an idea when it comes to the MFC. "Weideman, Melbourne's first selection in the 2015 NAB AFL Draft at pick No.9 overall, was due to come out of contract at the end of this season but the Demons and the 19-year-old's manager, Ben Williams of Players Ink, agreed to a new two-year deal this week." I could be wrong, but the last time i checked, Pick #4 (Oliver) comes before #9.

Whilst Watts will only have himself to blame for getting himself in the situation he has (which the club continues to keep us in the dark with), the FD will only have themselves to blame if Watts starts the year off in poor fashion. They have handled this situation (publicly) very poorly.

Agree Picket, people living in glass houses should not throw stones.

I have to disagree with the topic heading. The 'best news ever' would be the newspaper article "In game 250 Hogan drives Powerhouse Dees to 15th Premiership"
-
Game was played in Launceston, so it would've been balmy!

It will be just our luck that he nails every [censored] pick

I don't know, the AFL's current disdain for Hird would probably see his number being taken (Hird's that is)!

The excitement and anticipation towards the end of pre-season gets to us all

New Major Sponsor: Automotive Holdings Group (AHG)
Demon Disciple replied to Demon3's topic in Melbourne Demons
Why?.........................To rule them out as potential sponsors -
As WJ has alluded to, MFC's previous experiences with so called "saviours" has hardly been fruitful. Poor old Jim tried to be, but to the detriment of his well-being. Gutnick came along and headed the anti-merger group, but if it wasn't for the Dorks and their supporters' voting against it, it would have happened. The closest we've had to a saviour in recent times is by far and away PJ, whilst Roos also got us back on track. But both have made a considerable effort to not be seen as "saviours". It's more that they are/were one piece of the jigsaw, to get things going in the right direction and that it takes more than one person to keep a football club on the straight and narrow. One thing is for sure though, i'm extremely pleased that we have PJ locked in until at least the end of 2018.

Shane Yarran goes whack at Fremantle

Ross Lyon picks his best 22, doesn't vary it too much, but gets the most out of them. The problem is, those outside the 22 simply don't improve under a RL coaching regime. He is not very good at managing the entire playing group. He is the antithesis of a list manager. -
Ever since Saty alluded to you taking a lot of snaps, i've been hanging out for these!

Also, how do you see Mitch King developing when compared to Max King (ACL aside)? -
What was the Bentleigh Club valued at???

Michelle Cowan is probably one big reason

40,000 will be broken this coming year. If we get off to a good start, we'll give 45,000 a serious shake too

What amazes me is that Max hasn't even turned 25 yet -

i've always thought that a player running sub-10 minute 3km TT's is doing very well. -
Why would they do that? They've got their saviour in Prestia. He'll solve all their problems!
-
The Tigs may rise slightly up the ladder this year and next, but will plummet back down near the bottom for an extended period, because outside of Rance, Reiwoldt and Martin their list falls away terribly. Prestia is an unknown, but his injuries won't allow him to get back to where he was prior to them, Cotchin is a shadow of his former self, and the coach and FD (not to mention the board) clearly overrates their list.

List analysis: What Melbourne needs
Demon Disciple replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yep, i still plan on listening to it via radio, but it will be a snooze-fest. And about bloody time too. I hate it that the most enjoyable part of the footy for the last 9 years has been in late November.
