  1. Frees currently 6-12 in the Dogs favour.
  2. The way he moves when he cuts through traffic, it's like he reads the play before it even happens and is several steps ahead of everyone else. His set shot kicking could do with a bit of improvement, but other than that he is all class.
  3. It's only going to be a short-term solution, as any of those 3 will just be keeping that position filled until Weideman is ready to come in.
  4. Melksham would offer a few things that are really lacking for us atm. He has good pace - which our midfield lacks, he has a bit of flair - our midfield is mostly blue-collar, he is a good kick - we are not a team of Andrew Gaff's. I'd have him in for Jayden Hunt, similar player types, Melksham obviously the more proven.
  5. you can be as cynical or optimistic as you want, it still has zero influence on who will win the game.
  6. Don't worry Scythe, we're only 1 bad performance away from order being restored back on these boards
  7. Many critics (myself included), forget that he has only played 54 games. His first year at the club was phenomenal, and many would rightly think he has stalled or gone backwards since then. But he is still in a developmental stage of his career, learning how to deal with tags and added pressure. His first year clearly showed he has the talent, and with improved development coaching now in place, i have no doubt he is on the right track.
  8. We were lucky to beat GWS though Ron. It was their inaccuracy during the 3rd that cost them the game.
  9. I may be a little harsh, but i'm wanting to see more from Salem. What he has done has been good, but he has the skill-set to take his game to another level. We'd be such a better team off of his improvement alone. For mine, he is still in 4th gear.
  10. I would've thought back-back-back premierships........plus a fourth, would have already earned them dynasty status.
  11. I'd have him debut against the Aints, have him raring to go making them regret not picking him!
  12. At least until Weideman is ready.
  13. The effort the boys put in today, only makes me more furious at them for last weeks debacle. I'm really hoping that game is a driving factor for the team for the rest of they year.
  14. I'd suspend simply for stupidity. What a dumb thing to do. His absence will be huge against the filth.
  15. I agree that Frost really isn't much of a footy player. He's still very raw and inexperienced, but so far there is very little to like with him. Keep him away from the ruck, as he is clueless. If we are to persevere with playing him, it should only be as a KPD. I've seen enough of Dunn and Garland continually hurting us with their lazy work ethic and attitude, and horrendous decision making and disposal. We already have McDonald, who throws in the often sh!thouse game where his disposal couldn't be worse, so we can ill-afford to have 3 backman with poor disposal, it is our Achilles heel back their. We still need another good tall KPD if we are to improve (better start getting into Weitering's ear!).
  16. yep that bald headed m@ggot really did a number on us. Gave us very little, yet at every opportunity was looking to give NM a free
  17. i always thought that the ball had to physically touch the post, not that a player touches the post, whilst in possession of the footy.
  18. Just as sad that Roos recognised this, yet did nothing to rectify it before and even during the game.
  19. Garland is not even worthy of being a pimple on Gibson's backside.
  20. I'm sorry Deecisive, but i just had to quote you, as a "like" simply would not do this line justice!!!
  21. As much as i love PJ, he too continually refers to Melbourne supporters having a victim mentality and that we need to shed it. I'd counter, the reason why we continue to have such an outlook is not because of the past, but because of the present and the continual sh!t efforts that are perpetually given. We are yet to win 2 games in a row under both PR and PJ regime (alarming no matter which way you look at it), and the only times we look like we truly give a damn is after abhorrent losses.
  22. when was the last time we "smashed" a team. Would have to be back in the Bailey era
  23. Agree. Why is it that we put in 'good' performances only after a humiliating loss? A very noticeable trend under the Roos regime. Having said that, i still think North will put us to the sword. Hopefully then it will dawn on the playing group just how much further they still have to go.
  24. Roosy also said in his press conference that a few boys were "big headed" heading into the game, whilst Zach Merrett thought we were rather lackluster. Is it not Roos' job to ensure that such mentalities are not present? If that was the attitude of some of our boys heading into the game and he recognised this, yet did nothing to rectify it, then Roos and the coaching group had already failed, even before the ball was bounced. I find that very concerning from our head coach (the entire coaching group actually).
