  1. So when he is taking one from Hird it will be soft on the old knees?
  2. Only 3 times screwed in 3 years! Wouldn't be a MFC member then...
  3. Hmm, the easy option may seem correct....but not the answer I was looking for...
  4. Here is a riddle: I am three times screwed, and continue to screw. What am I?
  5. Are you saying the deal fell one foot short? (Boom tish....)
  6. Farewell. Best of luck with your football career. Best of luck with your foot injuries. Best of luck with the depression. Best of luck with being a spineless GIT that runs away when the heat is on. Thanks for not very much. At least we didn't have to give pick 111 for HL.
  7. When Jay Clark cannot get the heading right : "from Richmond to Melbournre"., how do we judge the quality of the rumour?
  8. The fact that we couldn't ship Blease or Strauss must be worrying for them both. Perhaps they will be rookies somewhere. The fact that Cartank wanted pick 698 before one of these blokes speaks to their true currency. And Jeff, when you put on the new shirt, try a smile!
  9. Think much of this should have been in the 'charged and redacted thread'?????
  10. Equalisation: ask Eddie how he would like to punish opposition clubs and introduce it without any due diligence. The inmates are running the asylum...
  11. Our first trade completed for 2014. Talented forward and potential outside midfielder stagnating under Mick. Welcome, and looking forward to the speed and goals you bring!
  12. I've got a great idea... Nate Jones says "I want to explore free agency". Melbourne offers him a big contract. We get compensated with band 1 ( age and contract) and get Nate back. This making up rules [censored] is fun!
  13. Point 1: if they get a pick directly after their first pick, wouldn't this be third round thanks to exclusion from the first two rounds for their governance issues? Point 2: if they void the contract, isn't that like 'retirement', then the Mal Michael clause kicks in? He should be traded as there is a valid contract registered with the AFL. If this goes ahead, I can see brown stuff flying everywhere. I am more riled abou this than anything I have seen in a while. The competition is dead if this gets up....it is not a competition but a display event for marquee teams and everyone else can just get Fcccked.
  14. Ox was discussing it on SEN as I was in the car getting 'emergency supplies' for dinner. He was very unhappy, too.Apparently the AFL have no problem with it....
  15. So did I hear correctly?? Essendon and Paddy will tear up his contract, he goes free agent, PA give him a big contract and Essendrug get band 1 compensation?? They then trade a junk player from drug land for pick 17. Is this not a RORT?? Why should drug lords be able to bend the rules and be compensated for their terrible behaviour? Why are the AFL supporting this? Essendon should be BANNED from the first two rounds of the draft, as per their penalty. Their band 1 compensation should be after their first pick (round 3). The system, in all its forms is just Flukked. Why play by the rules when you can just break them? What a flunking joke.
  16. This is terrible for us. This assumes that Clark has almost the least value of the three. I would want extra from Geelong to make this work, say even swapping our late pick for their second rounder. Geelong are paying way unders for Clark unless more is happening.
  17. So, Hawks take Frawley with no penalty. Yet, if we pick up a free agent, our compo is penalised? How is that fair?? We should be compo'ed for Frawler the Crawler, and then be allowed to participate in securing free agents without penalty. Fortune favours the chosen few.
  18. Frawley: Frah-Li. Rhymes with 'creepy crawley. Small insect that claims to have red and blue blood and a heart that beats true. On further inspection has no stomach, brain or ability to lead and requires a yellow and brown anus to closely follow otherwise would lose itself and curl up like a slater. Cashturnal: only seen at contract time.
  19. Club recruiters have been putting together dossiers on these kids all year. It might make a small difference, but I don't see wright winning time trials, beep tests etc and everyone has him top 3. It's part of the puzzle, not the whole picture. I love that he is a competitor, a performer and attentively leader. Welcome B. Stretch, S.O.S
  20. So how about: Mitch the Birch for Geel 2nd round plus player Herty L. and 3rd rounder for the Geel 2nd rounder. Blease for a bin liner and bag of chips. Frawley comp (3) to dogs for 6 and 2nd round pick 2nd round for Frost Our 2nd round for Merritt the Ferret and 3rd round 6 for Mitchell and membrane 2 third round picks for Roo's special smokeys Get brayshaw with 2, Stretch with 3 rd rounder, smokey with 4th. No wonder Paul is going on holidays half way through. It will be done by then....
  21. Ha ha.... He wants to get over Depression by moving to Geelong! If you look up depression in the dictionary there is a nice picture of Geelong's Main Street. So, whatever led to this, I shed any care about mC like a lizard sheds its skin. Get the best deal, MFC, and be done with this pus bag.
  22. His agenda? 1. To get whatever he could from the system to benefit the club. Perhaps it will be our last chance for a while as we plan to move up and be more competitive. 2. Set a baseline on what others would have to do to prove 'special circumstances'. 3. Make a point that will influence the equalisation discussion. Just a guess. The downside is that it paints us as poor cousins and beggars, which would make us less attractive to marquee signings....
