bandicoot replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Totally agree Oscar was a liability in all 3 nab games. He can't stick tackles -

Matt jones is a liability and only makes this side worse... How he still gets a game is beyond me??? Is he Paul's love child? -

Jeremy Cameron reported for high contact
bandicoot replied to The Backyard Charizard's topic in Melbourne Demons
GWS will sruggle to kick a winning score without Cameron, McCarthy and patton. As as good as their mids are they are likely to be run off their feet towards the end. As for scully, we should have the banner named in his honour. His exit landed us hogan. Thank you very much -
This will no doubt have an effect on Dustin. Looked out of sorts on the weekend. Might need time out of the game to deal with this

Jeremy Cameron reported for high contact
bandicoot replied to The Backyard Charizard's topic in Melbourne Demons
As much as I'd like to beat GWS with Cameron in the side, him being out will make a massive difference to their structures. Add to this McCarthy and it starting to look like $2.30 at sportsbet is a good bet. -
How can professional footballers be unable to find a target by foot 20m out? the dogs 18yo players have been recruited with foot skills. i.e hewks

Sportsbet are paying $1.66 for more than 7 wins and $2.16 for less than 7. I got got in last month for more than 7 wins at $1.90. Good bet in my books

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
bandicoot replied to Freddy Fuschia's topic in Melbourne Demons
Totally agree.. He will dominate at VFL level and will get called in for the seniors round 5-6. -
Dawes will get a game over pederson every week and frost has played all of 1 game for the club. There are no alternativeare no alternatives

Totally agree. We need 2 additional big bodied forwards to help hogan out. If all that he does is to take some pressure off hogan then he is worth his spot. big bodied forwards are hard to come by and he plays an invaluable role as the link man and bringing the ball to ground. There is a reason that he gets selected every week and doesn't get dropped
-
He has played almost 75% of the games in the last 3 years. I don't believe the league average is much more than that.

Training - Monday, 4th January, 2016

I also think Hulett will be the surprise packet of the draft. He is solid enough to compete at AFL level. His fitness will need to be worked on however it can be done. Vanders is a good example of this. -
I also agree re goal assist. He is an invaluable asset as a high half forward delivering the ball lace out to petracca, hogan and garlett. Watts is the best in the team at you 20-40 meter passes

The only thing I care about in this story is that he will likely miss the game against the Dees in round 5. Might make us favorites

Such average players. Neeld didn't have a chance. Add to that tapscott, Byrnes, sylvia, m jones, tagart, Joel Mac, Barry the list goes on. Hindsight is a great thing. I don't remember if u think we were so bad at the time.

Harford and Allen for Drive? I dont mind Harford however Allen is a twit. Needed someone else to co host with Harford.

We essentially got hogan for scully. might be the best result possible

It seems that there are 8 teams competing for the last 3 spots in the 8. Richmond North Dogs Adelaide Port Gws Collingwood Melbourne Assuming that Hawks, Eagles, Fremantle, Sydney and geelong will be too 5 Will be a tough year to crack the 8

I expect Jack to be ready to play for Casey round 1. If he strings 4-5 matches without complications then he would be a lock in our top 22.

Is this your professional opinion? Why rush Jack into kicking balls when you don't have to? Give the foot as much time to rest and repair as possible. I would expect him to be kicking come New Years. This would allow him 4 months of ball work to get himself ready for the season. An additional 4 months (on top of the nearly 18 months) is plenty of time for him to be ready for competitive football.

Team looks good however falls away quickly with a few injuries. The only 2 players in the depth column that can actually hold their own in the starting 22 is Cam Pederson and vandenberg. The others still need 2+ years of experience or are just not good enough. We need that number to grow to 5-6. Also, no point putting to much pressure on 1st and 2nd year players. Even though I'm not going to hold my breath, I believe trengove is super important to the 2017 campaign.
