Someone needs to be accountable for the state the club is in.... The boards performance has been unacceptable...

We need non footbal related streams of income..... Secure our future outside of the football world.

Collingwood have realised that they need to diversify their income stream and went about buying up pubs, clubs and hotels. We also need to think outside the square and not rely solely on football related income. Get a business minded board who can secure us financially.

Melbourne's situation is different to any other clubs. The AFL will never let the 'Melbourne' team relocate or move. You can not have an AFL competition without a team representing the capital city where the game was founded.

The current board has stood by for far too long and watched this great club wither away. We don't have enough members, money, good players, facilities or respect. We are the laughing stock of the competition and I for one am sick of it. Its time for a change and change needs to come from the top. I call for a petition to be raised for an extraordinary general meeting to vote for a new board. As a 15 year paying member I have had enough.

We must start be reappointing a new board. We need a total clean out. The current board got us in this predicament and now they must make way. Get Jim Stynes on board....

We currently do not have a player who would get into the top 50 in the AFL.... That is scary....

Was Newton n the forward line a positive or am i stretching it?

Can anyone give me any positives that we can take from todays game?

Unfortunately we are now in the same rebuilding stage as Hawthorn, Carlton and Bulldogs were 4 years ago. We need to slowly get rid of 10 - 15 players and start afresh.... We need to bottom out before this team has any hope of going anywhere. Some heads at board level have to roll for leaving Daniher at the helm and not rebuilding 3 years ago.

There was not one bit of hope or positive to come out of the game..... We as a side need 3 -4 years to bottom out before we go anywhere.....

Just got Melbourne $5 for the wooden spoon. Easiest money Ill ever make...

If we can't win this weekend with a near full squad we we will be in real trouble this season. There are only 4-5 players that are not playing who would normally get a game: Bartram, Whelan/Wheatley, Rivers and Bruce. Only Bruce is a real match winner. I know its still a practise match and it will be 30 degrees but these guys are proffessional athletes with a thirst for winning. I think the writing is on the wall if we cant beet the Roos with a full squad.

Unfortunately I can not see Melbourne finishing any higher than bottom three. It doest seem that our middle tier players have stepped up and we will be in a rebuilding stage for the foreseeable future. 2008 will be a tough year.....
