This round: Average games played - 61 Average age - 23yo Again, youngest most inexperienced side of the round. Even GC went out with a more mature side. Any suprise that our season is such a rollercoaster? We have fielded the youngest most inexperienced side for 15 rounds this year

A premiership side is made up of at least 30 players all of whom can play their role when required. Fortunalty our injuries have been minimal this year however just like north and the pies we could see up to 8 players out at once next year. If H is healthy and wants to continue football next season then he will be a valuable asset.

Out of contract free agent. 27yo 170 games. no swap necessary. Freo gets compensation pick. any interest?

If your numbers are correct then this will be the youngest side since the inception of GC and GWS

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 20
bandicoot replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
The way to beat the Hawks is with high pressure football. Thy have a heavy reliance on kicking and the more pressure that the kicker gets the more chance of a turnover. both the dogs and saints are very good in this area and have pushed the Hawks. Dees are capable of bringing this on Saturday but which Melbourne turns up will be the real question. -
It's not the first time this year that we have scored 1 or less goals in the final quarter. We need to be able to run out games better

There is no way trenners will be delisted this year. The club hasn't invested all this time in his rehab to let him go

Making way - The list enigma going forward

I can't see us dropping more than 3 players... Michie (r) newton terlich We use the first 2 picks in the draft and the last pick to upgrade white. cant see Dawes delisted especially if we renegotiate on a lower salary. Grimes might save his career in the last 6 weeks or be trade bait. Dunn, garland and JKH are all contract. we haven't stuck with trengove all these years to boot him out as soon as he gets better. He will get another chance. pederson might be unlucky if the club believes he has no future. might be the quietest trade period the club has had in a while. -
Agree... Good sides will make you pay if you kick to a contest. He has to become better at kicking to a spare man or playing on

Interesting... Do we play less interstate matches than the average victorian side? -

The issue is that the Darwin game completely cooks the players. They lose 2-3 kilos in that heat. Launceston is 1 hour flight in similar conditions to Melbourne. Darwin is a 5 hour flight in tropical heat -
Surely Hunt Deserves a Rising Star Nomination

Good call... Has really added something special to the side. His run and carry was something that we desperately needed -
In 3 years our game style has not improved under Roos.

Adelaide are 50% from inside 50. Our mids and defense are getting slaughtered

Saints? The annihilated us last time. Can't see much changing next time around

Where does Chris Dawes fit in all this?
bandicoot replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
He has the ability to stand up in tackles and take on 2 players. If he gets the ball out then we have a spare. -

fit needs to be emphasized. He, more than anyone doesn't play well under an injury cloud. -

Seems that he has really added something to the side over the last 2 weeks. Has straightened us up and played slightly better than Pedo. Thoughts? -
Wagner for grimes. We need some more experience
-
Put aside the fact that we were top heavy in defense and grimes or Dunn would have suited better. Oscar will end up being a regular in the side but needs a couple of years to fill out and work on his game. I think the frost experiment down back worked well and he might keep Oscar out of the side

Our backline is a siv because we have a 19yo stick holding up a key position.
