Well, let's move on to this. I also think we are a sneaky show for this game. Out: Hogan, JKH, Trengove In: Jones, Pedersen, Vince

The garbage in this thread doesn't sit well with me. Chris Connolly made some mistakes but had the best interests of your club at heart, and got strung up on trumped up charges just the same as your club did. Now it comes up again and we regurgitate and eat our own again. Sometimes I wish we had a stubborn, arrogant, pigheaded culture like the Bombers. We are not big enough to maintain all these grudges.

That's a bit of a Billy...

I'm not one to 'react' or 'emote' much but it does look very pleasant. Well done.

@Rodney (Balls) Grinter - 2 things: 1. If you buy a membership to Demonland the ads will disappear and @Nasher gets to buy a new server (it will make things so quick!) 2. The ads are 'smart' and by that I mean they will show you what they know you want to see based on your previous search history. Just before I had to log in a minute ago I had a look at the ads given to me and I saw Crust (ordered a pizza from there two weeks ago) and an ad for the specific computer I bought yesterday. So if you are seeing dating sites, don't blame Demonland! Search your cache, you know it to be true!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - COREY MAYNARD

A mid dumped after a great win? I think that is a heavy assumption @Scythe... -

Interesting... Don't see it happening, but if Oliver and co. need a rest against the Lions and we are in a comfortable spot - yeah, he may get his jumper earlier than expected. -
Makes sense that Collingwood would want him. Every team would want him.

How is that not pretty? If we fail to get to 13 wins I don't know which players were abducted by aliens but that would tell you we are pretenders. We should beat NM, Bris, and Coll and I would be surprised if a healthy Demons side loses to the Saints at the G. Forget other teams, we have it all in our grasp here.

I prefer the grey area - the answer is usually there. Watts wasn't 'pathetic' - he worked hard but started really unsure of the tempo of the game. Like Hogan, the club made the decision to play him and set them up for criticism because subsequent games will benefit. Tyson is a ball magnet, a sloppy ball magnet... Moving past how that sounds... but a magnet he is and only good players win as much footy as he does. He can make better decisions and not make a howler or two but if anyone thinks he isn't built for finals footy - please. Finals isn't about lace out distribution, it is about winning contests and having a high workrate to effect the next contest. Dom does that when fit and firing.

That Darwin effect, hey? Makes you start really strongly against top 4 teams... Deadly.

If Demonland can be likened to a pub, and I believe it can, you are the old codger in the corner of the bar more interested in hearing his own voice than the footy. But I will stop for a chat on the way to the pisser... Not sexist and fair chat if you have a similar thread for ex-footy players who struggle to put words in front of other words to make coherent sentences. Or talk about the fact the biggest footy journo in the country (Head footy writer for the Hun) would be more at home in the latest planet of the apes movie... Apologies if anyone thinks I am being primate-ist...

No, because there will be at least a fortnight left of the season by the time we get to 12 wins...

He was servicable. He would have to lift enormously to survive when Vince is an option. Great to see tho, played his role and looked better than Wagner at least...

Give it a rest @faultydet He had a bad day and if given the opportunity again, the MC might have let him come back through Casey but eating alive our resident scapegoat after a fantastic win isn't necessary, is it? What have you seen from Watts in the last couple of years would indicate that he would be happy with that return? Anyone else and you might say - "Jeez, [player] was down on his return, there is a plus once he regains form." As for the game, Tyson gets his hands on it so much I don't care that he gives us 4 disastrous clangers a game - bad players don't get that much footy. Oliver needs to refine his instincts but that will come - he is 20... 20! Hibberd and Jetta and Frost and Hunt and Salem...and the comic relief Oscar - they are formidable!
-
[censored] this. We are 9 and 7 with all but Jones back, yes there will be some rust but we are at home and there are no superteams and we are a good team. There is no surprise here - we can win this game and if Viney, Salem, and Tyson don't need a game to get into the momentum of the game - we have enough weapons to win well.

We are a show to be 10 and 7 this weekend, and have played some great footy this year. Why can't some of you just enjoy it rather than excreting depression all over the site? We have had some brave wins and we have had some excellent wins and right now two more wins than losses... Your Demons have a few injuries but play an exciting brand of footy and are in 7th spot with 6 games to go! Get around us!

It is obvious this is the message from Goodwin and co. We are stepping over the line and I wish we would continue the focus on the footy but if this is intended to get the younger ones used to a scrap then I am all for it. Finals are not won all neat and polite. But, yeah, can we stop punching and elbowing blokes...

Yeah, the above was mild...
