  1. I don't know what you guys are talking about - there is only one Kennedy...now.
  2. haha. Wow. Who mentioned this in another thread? Good work. Not hoping for much but there is your Howe replacement if he has decent mitts...
  3. Carl trade 20, 21, and 2016 Pick ~60 for WB 11 and 2016 Pick ~47.
  4. Eagles swap 36 and 37 for Sydney's 23.
  5. I don't care about picks outside of the top 20 and players outside the top 15 are interchangeable and replaceable - if you want to change your fortunes it is all about Top End Talent. All we have done is take 2016's ND8 or ND10 and turned it into ND3. We have shuffled some fringe players out and in - and I hope that Bugg and Melksham can add depth to our midfield and HBFs. That's not nothing. But we haven't got the huge talent we wanted but that doesn't mean you get marked down - you can only deal with what is in front of you and we played this points system much better than any other team and better than I thought we would. And again, all we have done is turn ND8-10 into the third pick in the draft for nothing. Oh, wait - that's good.
  6. That trade involved ND10 to GWS for ND7. ND10 was received in the trade with GC that required ND29. ND29 was received in the trade with Collingwood/Adelaide/Port that required Howe and/or Toumpas. Take out a 'mediocre trade' from that and it affects the last trade and we wouldn't have ND3 and ND7.
  7. So you like the last trade - but not the other trades that had to happen to do that last trade?
  8. And to those that say "but isn't this years draft shallow?!" Shallow implies that it is not very deep - good thing our picks are in the top 7 then...
  9. No games, don't overthink it - just pick the bloke you think will be the best footy player available at that pick. Big bodied mids win tough footy, finals are tough footy. Just keep that in mind...
  10. Give GC their pick back? I don't think so...
  11. ND7 is essntially ND6 with ND6 in GCs hands - they will have to use that for points I assume.
  12. Yeah, but who cares? If we make decisions based on things that 'might' happen in the future - we won't make a decision. Besides, we can trade 2017 First rounder plus any number of players. I don't think it will be an issue - the bigger issue is getting Prestia to want to leave and for him to nominate us.
  13. What's his name? I am assuming it is a playing role, not interning at the Dees Shop or doing IT for the website...
  14. Seems like? Perhaps they want more of an assurance than 'seems like'... They have one particular player in mind for that pick and the last bloke these guys singled out from a long way out was Angus Brayshaw. I am excited about who they have targeted.
  15. Mate, it is our pick from 2016. The AFL hasn't stipulated it properly because they don't know what they are doing - but it is our pick.
  16. I am simply whelmed. I'm in the Goldilocks Zone of Whelming.
  17. When is a top ten pick different to other top 10 picks? When they are in the top 3. And we have that pick. I will back ourselves to stay above BL, Carl, and Ess at least...
  18. We can include them - Petracca hasn't played a game at AFL level either - I am still going to include him. Including Kent and Salem as midfielders is fine, but your judgement is noted...
  19. Bastinac is rumoured to be going to the Lions for ND17 and Bewick... We are dealing with Essendon here - I was surprised they settled so early with us on ND25 for Melksham. This haggling stuff is a two way street and while I would put any club to the sword and pick up someone in the PSD - maybe the player doesn't like that answer and maybe he says to his new coach 'well, I would like to stay rather than risk it.' In the end - I am sorry to say - the difference between ND25 and ND29 is infinitesimal.
  20. Excuse me? I don't think he was handled poorly. He didn't set the forward line on fire and Roos tried to salvage something for him back. He played his best games back but makes mistakes and you can't have a HBF that makes mistakes - they are there to kick it so McDonald does that less. So, yeah, I don't fell let down by the club...
  21. Well, it's a misguided point for the reasons already stated. We couldn't have played this game of trade chicken - we didn't want to keep him! Let's get the pitchforks out for when we lose a Beams calibre player.
  22. Telling the truth isn't the problem - the truth being the truth is the problem. Best way to become a destination club? Win footy games.
