  1. Are you now exaggerating the non-brutality of that bump? We just don't know anymore...
  2. Kind of answered your own question there - I understand this is a shallow draft but Terlich didn't play last year at all as a 25 year old and we had injuries, and we have recruited more players in his role... Now I know this is a shallow draft but surely live pick 39 is worth more than another year of the nothing we got out of Terlich...
  3. Yeah, just odd he would agree to it.
  4. I guess we will find out but we are somewhat hamstrung by our list at the minute - we don't have room for ND50 at the minute, let alone a DFA. If anyone wants a DFA - we need to delist 2 players.
  5. Brutal timing for KDAL of that thread bump from ProDee...
  6. Well, there is definitely at least 1 deletion to come.
  7. Ah, it's good to occasionally be on the right side of Hindsight History... I also would love to point out all those saying - 'Kennedy/Garlett are lost to us with ND13 moving to ND20' blah blah blah. Don't sweat the small stuff. Blue chip picks are hard to come by - you have to either be really bad or very clever...
  8. With Hunt and Harmes resigning. I am not certain with Michie's status, but right now we don't have a spot for ND50 - which will end up being the ~39th live pick.
  9. Well that's just not true. He frustrates because he gets into good spots and doesn't execute - he attempts mark like a bloke low on confidence in his marking; very stiff and with tension in the arms and with out great extension of the arms into the mark. And he does that quite a bit. His average score involvements are still (just) higher than Pedersen's and yet some talk like one is far more 'involved' than the other. As for 'getting in the way' - that is what tall fwds are meant to do - unless you mean 'getting in Hogan's way' and I am with you on that sentiment. However, Hogan has stated on multiple occasions that he loves playing with Dawes in that team. Gawn gets in Hogan's way (Source: See Carlton game), but Dawes does not.
  10. He doesn't seem to have an elite aspect to his game, I think he is a mid but unless he can show a reason for playing him in the rotation he is going to struggle to get a game. HBF should be his target really (isn't it every player that is finding good form tough?) but his skills are not Salem's... As for his career to date - it has been good - in better teams he wouldn't have seen a game yet but 2016 and 2017 will be big years for JKH. He has been 'damned' by exposure he wouldn't have elsewhere - a little bit unfair but that's life.
  11. Give me the exact hypothetical and I will have a look.
  12. No, we can just sit there and go through them all and be complete dicks about it if we wanted to - one after the other.
  13. I am predicting Pick 46 to be ND44 with 11 Academy/FS taken before it - making it the 33rd live pick. Pick 50 will remain ND50 but 13 Academy/FS taken before it - making it the 37th live pick. So does that change who you think will be available?
  14. Yes, you are correct - it will get easier for the Northern states to pick up players the more players are bid upon. But not by much for Hopper; they will still give up ND10 and ND34 but would get back ND60 instead of ND52 if taken before Mills.
  15. Ha. I will have my excel sheet and I could do it, but it would be a slow draft and think of the pressure, LDvC!
  16. In that Geelong game - Dawes provided us with structure. Which is the base requisite for a tall fwd. Again, meaningless talk in October.
  17. The Northern states knew what they were doing - Brisbane finished with ND2 and 5 consecutive picks starting in the late 30s to take their two 1st round rated Academy talents. They especially seemed to have thought about their lot this year. Apart from those clubs going to Northern clubs and saying we will give you a higher pick for two lower picks - for the sake of points, there really wasn't any other club other than us who drilled in on using that need to get top 10 picks - which is where you want to be in any draft. Carlton got ND8 this year, for (I am assuming) Geelong's 1st rounder next year that they got for Henderson - but it might end up hurting if Geelong has an awful a season as we all hope they do.
  18. He's DFA. He will go somewhere before the ND. We have no list spots as of right now.
  19. I don't know, who are you referring to as that? It might give you the answers you seek...
  20. Only one draft can have "Petreccas (sic) and Brayshaws" and we have them, and, again, if there are those players next year - we wouldn't have access to them or do you think we will be worse than Carlton, Ess, and BL? And, everytime 'we' experts tell you this draft is this or that - there is always quality players that come from it, and from outside the top ten. So stop looking for excuses as to why 'we will/have screw/ed this one up'... This doesn't have to end in tears.
  21. He did not play a game - for a top ten pick that is the epitome of a terrible result. I am not here to judge Molan, Cook, Jimmy, Cale or any other player - I am here to judge how we went at drafting 18 year olds and Luke Molan is on the list of the players that we drafted when we consistently drafted poorly. I don't care about injuries, they are irrelevant to the fact that we got nothing out of a Pick 9 14 years ago. If Schwarz is an unfulfilled talent - Molan's career is not in the same hemisphere of critique. It is up there in a long list of poor drafting decisions.
  22. The draft is called shallow because only the top few are worth it according to the 'experts.' So Pick 3 this year is better than Pick 9 next year. Because we don't want to finish in the bottom 4 again, yeah? But [censored] on everything for no reason if you want to.
  23. At least Jones played games - Terlich didn't. I would struggle to see the point in keeping him for 2016 if you didn't use for 2015...
  24. Pay back for Pick 94? There is nothing else to that trade other than a great club valuing a new recruit by getting him a week before they had to. There is no need for a pick in the ND to put someone on the RL. Again, nothing to see here. We were just allowing them to show what good clubs do to show recruits they value them.
