  1. And Hibberd and Salem and Lewis and Fritsch and maybe Frost... But this argument is irrelevant. Oscar won’t lose his spot Fritsch or Lewis. He will lose it if we think that Lever, Frost, and Hibberd with Gawn behind the footy is more value than having Oscar back there amongst that group.
  2. I am a bit worried. If he is in the team to be the ‘gorilla tamer’ then he is in the wrong pen. Frost went to Cameron and will go to Hawkins. If Oscar wants to stay in that team when Lever comes back, he needs to step it up. And not to sound like @Clint Bizkit here - but he does stupid little things like let players run around him for one-twos and doesn’t man the mark properly. For his age he is fine, I just wonder whether he is in the team when we are healthy.
  3. A great Demon. Came to us at our lowest and gave you a reason to watch the team.
  4. Good footy players will make it work. Hogan in the middle from time to time and Weideman to continue his excellent progression as second ruck. McDonald may need to go back/wing as well if we are too tall. Gawn needs more of Weideman and Hogan is good enough to make it work in my opinion.
  5. Equally, if you don’t want it intimated that your ideas are idiotic and stilted - don’t share them in a thread.
  6. We are walking but that ain't gum we're chewing...
  7. The discussion is fine - this is a football forum - a discussion over the merits of trading someone is par for the course. What is also par for that course, is the judgement of posters and the 'discussions' they seemingly can't stop faffing on about - so continue with the stumbling around in the dark looking for your proverbial pants.

That was a reference to Oscar. Weideman is tracking normally - his ruckwork is a point of difference that he can build a career out of it if he can stay relevant as a forward like today.
  9. He's a gun footy player - he can do whatever he wants on the field. Garry Lyon was the same - put him wherever and he will be great. Getting back to the point of this misguided thread - the only time we trade him is if he requests a trade - you don't shop stars and he is one. End of story.
  10. The more people we can throw through there the better for our depth.
  11. Yes, but his stints through the middle freed him up and helped out other mids. I am not saying he is going to not be allowed in the forward 50 - just that he should go through the middle more - he can do it.
  12. He knows what to do in there. Excellent footy brain, huge tank, good in close, great hands - you didn’t see him in there earlier in the year?
  13. Get him in the middle more

We aren't building the cake so to speak, we are in icing territory and we need skills and outside talent to take the next step and win a flag.
  15. This is driving me nuts; I have bitten my proverbial tongue but... Three dots in a row is an 'ellipsis' and it is used to replace superfluous text and I use it as a way of leading the reader to a 'open question' or statement. But three commas in a row is not anything. It is usually followed by the 'sticky keys' popup that comes up wondering whether you need help easing use of the keyboard and avoid injuries. ,,, Just no.

    He is stalling.

My problem is I don't think the faith in Oscar is being repaid. If we are putting together a backline from a healthy list, I don't know if either is in it.

    It's about 97%...
  20. What a time to throw this into the fire... I would prefer Hogan stays and you go.
  21. There is no negative emoji to put onto posts so I will say this: Those that want to trade Hogan are betraying their lack of footy knowledge and intelligence. And they are also revealing they don’t know what ‘drives’ football clubs. Hogan playing hurt for the team must give a little bit extra for the players and he has my appreciation and admiration as a supporter. He was also in the discussion for AA earlier in the year. Beggars belief some of your neuroses, Land.
  22. Is sore and fighting through it. He is a beast. We are not making the most of our two fantastic tall forwards. Leave him alone.

Titus is good. @Big Demon is bad. 2 weeks? Roundhouse off the ball that was hard enough to cause ‘unviable’ teeth... Go watch UFC.

Not a great look, out for the year, love to get him to the Dees.
