We beat the Dogs by 7 goals the week after Darwin, and then proceeded to win 7 of our last 10 games (which coincided with our best month of footy since 2000) Would’ve we done any better had we not played in Darwin?

Given how much of a shambles Freo's foward line, I'd expect Freo to pay up big. Real big. Pick 5 and their second rounder would be a great start.

I thought they ranked the draft after finals rather than round 23. For instance a club could finish 8th after round 23 and then win the flag. Surely that club would get pick 18 (premiership) rather than pick 10 (rd 23 finish)

If Pedo can do a better job trying to get us into the finals than Weid then Pedo stays. Can't afford to have someone on his L plates in MFC's two most important weeks in years. Having said that Pedo has been atrocious this year in the seniors. A real step back from a good 2017.

Hopefully we have better luck in it than the pink jumper which we are 0-6 in.

So basically the club is conceding that this year's Darwin game is going to physically effect our run home this season. Not good. However, good news that we may be looking to get out of the deal. More than happy to have that home game transferred to Etihad given how well we play there and how badly we play at the MCG. Interesting that last year we had a good win over Port the week after Darwin, but then put in 2 lackluster performances against North and GWS (both interstate). So the flow on effects could last beyond the 1 week.

If you're referring to that amazing 3 point win over Adelaide in Roosy's first year, that was a Saturday twilight.

That's a useless stat IMO. We beat Port on a Saturday night over there in 2016. I guess if that game was on a Friday night we would've lost.

When was the last time we played an interstate game on a Friday night? The most recent one I can think of was against Sydney in 2003 on Anzac Day when we blew a 20 point three qtr time lead and then conceded 10 last qtr goals.

Not fussed if he leaves at the end of the year but I still think he has a role to play in the last 6 or so weeks. Could easily get a game over Hannan or Spargo and we're crying out for pace.

I'd focus on re-signing Brayshaw and T Mac first. Then Gaff comes after that.

One of the more impressively debuts I’ve seen from an MFC player. He reminds me of Gary Moorcroft with respect to his size and position.

McCartney was definitely in the box during the Brisbane game. I can vividly recall him giving Goodwin an almighty death stare after we fell over the line, as the cameras captured it.

JKH is the quintessential list clogger. A 5 year player that's no where near round 1 selection.

Until he consistently starts ripping apart the VFL (which you'd hope starts this year) he won't be getting too many games in the seniors. I'm assuming we passed up Charlie Curnow purely based on behavioral issues.
