  1. I'd consider bringing in Spencer for the Hawks game in 3 weeks. They have 2 genuine rucks in McEvoy and Ceglar who would both be too good for Pedersen when he's relieving Gawn. Plus Gawn would need a rest after the NT game, so 50% game time in ruck and the other as a key fwd may be the way to go. and hopefully Dawes would've replaced Pedo by then.
  2. Reid's been injured all year. I seriously doubt Sydney would entertain the option of trading him.
  3. Jetta ain't an angel. Been suspended twice I think.
  4. Hope the Dogs enjoy playing GWS without Boyd and Redpath.
  5. Interesting. Last week Slobbo was banging on about Essendon retaining 10/12 of the drug cheats. The only 2 that weren't coming back were Pears and Howlett, only because Essendon didn't want them.
  6. Predictions for MRP Lotto: A clean sweep of 1's: Vince - 1 to remain at 1 with bad record. Jetta - 2 down to 1 as Bontempelli sunk to the ground more dramatically than the Titanic. Pedersen, Didn't see the incident, but I'll go with 1 remaining at 1 with a bad record.
  7. The difference was that GC went in favourites last week. Brisbane are about $5 to beat us. We can't handle being favourites.
  8. Jay Clark reckons he's staying. To quote the Hogan article in Friday's HUN: "the Herald Sun understands he wants to stay at Melbourne"
  9. Assuming Port lose to Carlton, how much can we lose by to stay ahead of Adelaide, and hence stay in the 8?
  10. It's the way he got his 9 and 14 disposals. kicks goals aganist us, takes species and will be a nuisance we don't have to worry about.
  11. Williams (debut) for Adams for them. Thank Christ Lin Jong isn't playing. That guy owns us.
  12. The Dogs are missing Murphy, Johanissen, Suckling, Koby Stevens, Tom Boyd and Adams. A big loss will be unacceptable.
  13. The GWS win is looking better by the week.
  14. Surely Gawn will at least get nominated in the squad of 40?? But I wouldn't be surprised if no MFC players gets nominated....again.
  15. So who are the 3 people that have been on an AFL list?
  16. Didn't we beat a team that's currently 5-2 and has one of the best percentages in the league?
  17. I know him too although haven't spoken to him for years. He's a die-hard Richmond supporter but I didn't think he minded the Dee's all that much?
  18. Highlight of the night was a bus load of Melbourne supporters belting out the song about 6 times on the way back from Metricon to Broadbeach. A great night to be a Melbourne supporter and I was blown away by the support we had at the ground - both Qld supporters and those that travelled up.
  19. Which weather forecast were you looking at? I'm seeing 27 and fine.
  20. *News flash* The punters have reacted to the teams. GC now favourites at $1.85 ?
  21. Can someone please explain how we'll match up in defence on their talls? McDonald will obviously play on Lynch. But please tell me Garland isn't going play on Peter Wright who is 12cm taller than him. And what happens if Day starts forward as well? Perhaps Pedo needs to play as a key defender and rely on Hogan and Watts to be our only key forwards. i worry about our defence now that Dunn isn't good enough anymore.
  22. Rischitelli is a possible in according to the papers. Seeing as though he was BOG for GC the last time we met. I see his inclusion or non inclusion as crucial to the outcome of the game. They were saying Saad was going to play this week, even before the Geelong game, so he'll play. GC are a far better side at Metricon and will be very hard to beat this week. I cannot fathom how posters can be confident going into this one.
