If Hogan wants to return, you'd assume he'll request a trade at the end of the year. Why would he waste his time and ours, playing an entire season (2017) when you have no desire of being there. Having said that I'd rather he see out his contract as Weideman wouldn't be ready to take over the reigns in his second year.

Langdon's got good mail. He was the one that dropped the Worsfold to Essendon bomb-shell before anyone else.

If this is true, we are to never EVER again recruit a top 20 draft pick who resides outside of Victoria. We are too inept a club to retain talent.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 4
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
For what it's worth, Grimes has now been included as an emergency with Garlett going out. -
I reckon it's us. Seeing as though the NT arrangement isn't going so well if you believe the rumours, we'll instead 'host' this game and ditch the two NT games from next year. I'd assume the one game in China would generate just as much cash as the 2 crappy NT games we play.
-
Garlett barely trained today, according to the training thread so must be in severe doubt. When Frost is in the side I wish we had Pedersen and when Pedersen is in the side I wished we had Frost. Bottom line is I don't think either player is good enough. in - Brayshaw out - Vince
-
Is Garlett a certain in? Minor ankle injuries can take a couple of weeks to get over. I wouldn't bother listening to Dave "Mr personality" Misson anymore after he declared he was a certain starter last week.
-
Was going to play his 300th against us in round 8.
-
Just re-watched the incident. Unless Macmillan was acting by falling to the ground in the hope of stealing a free kick, I reckon Vince just got him. As a result, 2 down to 1. Maybe if we're extremely lucky, a fine but it wasn't a good look.
-
Did he make contact or not? Yes - 2 weeks down to 1 as MacMillan wasn't injured. No - no case to answer. Bloody poor discipline from a leader.
-
You want to drop a small forward who kicked 4?
-
One of the reasons I was against us getting rid of Cross. We're going to lose so many games this year due to inexperience.
-
Dave Misson - "Garlett will definitely play on Sunday"
-
I would only rest Hogan once Dawes returns to the side. A forward line headed by Pedersen and Frost scares me.
-
They're only predicting 0-2 mm of rain @ 50% chance. So it won't be all that wet, if at all.

I reckon Vandenberg is one week away from the magoos. Has been poor this year and is severely overrated on this board. I can recall one poster even likening him to Fyfe....

Analysing yesterday's game -
Bring-Back-Powell replied to stevethemanjordan's topic in Melbourne Demons
What excuses were I making? i rightly pointed out that we were garbage. I then gave the opposition credit for playing very well and raised the question on how many other sides they may have beaten on the day. Where was the pathetic excuse in that? -

We were garbage yesterday, but I reckon the Dons would've beaten a few other sides yesterday. They decided to play the perfect game given their current situation and playing list -
Anyone reckon the Dons would've beaten any other sides yesterday?
-
GC would be celebrating harder than Essendon tonight if that's the case.
-
We last kicked the first goal of the game against Collingwood in rd 18 last year. We won.

If we lose to Essendon I will....

Get the popcorn ready and enjoy everyone losing the plot around here. -
And Alex Neal Bullen (and probably Billy Stretch) is chronically home sick and wants a trade to an SA club....according to Bigfooty.

I just realised and threw up in my mouth a little
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Redjacket's topic in Melbourne Demons
I could be wrong, but I think I read/heard somewhere that the MCC requests Melbourne play only away games to Carlton and Essendon and that they must be at the MCG. I think is to ensure we play as many MCG games as possible.
