  1. Has this been confirmed? I know that these were being reviewed annually. They're still garbage so you'd assume it'll be retained as originally intended. Not sure anything can help them though.
  2. I was a reader of the DL but think this time of year and the excitement/anticipation and fear of "how do I get tickets" causes people to sign up. Ie. My profile was created on September 18, 2018 - So i apologise for jinxing us that year aha
  3. Enjoying the Lachie Neale distraction which should eat up a few more days before the nerves take control again aha
  4. There's still significant spreading between households. I'm not going to tell people what to do, but can only imagine cases will continue to increase leading up to the GF. Irrespective of who makes the GF can imagine lots of ppl will visit mates/family on GF day (night), everyone suffering lockdown fatigue and covid-zero not achievable.
  5. The thread is also assuming there will even be a 2022! So we'll see. It is difficult to know how to react to the Dees at the moment, I'll give you that.
  6. If Melbourne win a Grand final i will be drunk for 2 weeks either way.
  7. Requesting his two sons is ridiculous. If this was approved I would demand to be adopted by someone in the media.
  8. A lot of our trades are working out brilliantly compared to yesteryear. I am all for it
  9. IF we go off @Lucifer's Hero list there's a few that will need to be signed on for the @WERRIDEE lineups.
  10. In my opinion - it's a Bit baffling they're making players attend/quarantine for a Brownlow, Bit rough on players with a "semi but not realistic shot" chance needing to attend. and @Jadeddon't worry about feeling selfish, everyone is allowed to vent during the pandemic. Hopefully whatever happens this year, or next, the curse is broken and we can all celebrate more times in the future.
  11. So hopefully Yze/Williams will stay on? You'd imagine Yze stock would go up (even) more if he stayed with us.
  12. I know, just lamenting. Was quite happy seeing happy Dees fans in the crowd last week, hopefully the same continues for the rest of the season.
  13. Still with a shot for the AFL GM Football role, so potential a short stay at the bombers.
  14. Does seem odd to count it, Still pretty funny we have used the medical sub the least but had it used against equal top.
  15. "Scenes from quarantine in Perth." (Watching Brisbane game)
  16. One injury could be all it takes to open a door, can't really predict that. Imagine the players will now be judged on training - not sure if they'll be having scratch matches or anything. A lot of days to go until the Prelim let alone the Big Dance.
  17. They've sent everyone across to the hub. There are a lot of names fighting to dethrone JJ of the Medi-Sub spot. Harsh if it is not JJ but hopefully they judge it on how people are training more so than romanticism. Either way we've only activated the sub 5? times this season and one of which was for the last minute of the game aha
  18. Yeh that confused me a little. On first viewing there didn't seem to be a lot on the ones called against Harmes, and then Lever was slammed to the ground and that wasn't called, then one in favour of Harmes was called. I'd need to re-watch again but thought the Lever one was the most dangerous on first viewing.
  19. In one of my group chats a message about Oliver is quoted every Melbourne Game. the message is along the lines of "Put your arms down Oliver you (nasty expletive)"
  20. Out: Fritsch In: Smith Whoops sorry, still having nightmares from 2018, I think If Hunt is right, then he should be back in for Smith. Pig v Bowey the interesting one but guess it depends on opponent and how Hunt tracking.
  21. Like the old cricket saying "Ashes to Ashes, dust to dust, if Thomson don't get ya, Lillee must". They all play a part, even if one is quiet.
  22. Yep, Daw & M. Brown played a combined total of 1 game. If Weid is off we may see Petty up forward and then Gunston probably next in line? Would be good insurance policy provided the deal is right and also if body is right. We're likely losing the messiah Burgo so need to be a little cautious.
  23. Understandable, My main point was defensively I think Angus does a great team role as you can see by his intercept possessions/spoils. He does have some clangers by foot but reads the position well and plays a big role for the team. I'm just a bit cautious that if we replace with someone with superior polish there is a risk that of losing that specific cog/role that Gus is playing. I could be wrong, any replacement might be able to do both, but a risk to change a formula that has taken us to the minor premiership
  24. Just looking at some season stats for the year; We finished 6th for Goals Scored but won the minor premiership for Points scored narrowly pipping the Bulldogs by 2 points
