Financial Review: Melbourne Demons the 6th most valuable brand in the AFL
Second part of the graph somewhat surprising. Wonder what the demographic of the 1000 people interviewed were.

The Soccer thread
Is Erik ten Haag the right guy? It's a bit of a knife-edge situation. Probably should have been let go at the end of last season but they got caught up in the delirium of cup final success. Also the new (portion) of ownership didn't want to rock the boat too much early. But imagine they've seen enough so far and he's far from safe

Delistings 2024
Thought he'd end up at the saints, not sure how much game time he'd get at the others

Welcome to Demonland: Bayley Fritsch
the whole team sort of dipped in the second half of the year. Hopefully with a fit and firing midfield he'll be more consistent

Wade Derksen
They're into Jake Stringer aren't they? Maybe they're waiting for that to happen before letting WD go. If we sign him, he needs #40 too, give Taj an upgrade

NON-MFC: Trade Talk
Good thing they leapfrogged us at the end of the season.

Welcome to Demonland: Tom Campbell
As above a pragmatic addition, we may never see him in the seniors but a better emergency option that we had his year. Hopefully boost club culture and assist with the development of Verrall as well.

my mate goes for Geelong. He doesn’t know how the deal gets done but suggested Clark could be the sacrifice. Injuries not been kind to the lad though.

Seen JUH at a degen pub at 2am on the tins, pokies, pool table. Seemingly something Clarry would love.

St Kilda wants to change father son rules
Well they've put some resources in that may have been directed elsewhere whether major or minor. I do share your opinions on academies and the rort and what not though.

St Kilda wants to change father son rules
This was my biggest issue with the Mac Andrew situation, we weren't the only ones impacted. Clubs had put money and time into players, such changes should be grandfathered in

Lachie Hunter Retires
We'll always have the bounced handballs.

Lachie Hunter Retires
All the best in retirement Lachie. Not the most memorable spell with us but was still a handy player in 2023. Good from a list management perspective to have him gone, especially with the rise of Windsor and return to form of Langdon. Still would have preferred to have kept Jayden though.

2025 Membership
Seen quite a few comments online from various clubs, all seem to be complaining about rising costs with little return. Wonder what the solution is as we're stuck in a cost of living crisis.

2024 AFL Grand Final
Thanks for this. I'm interested in attending my first AFL grand final, but 4am is a bit of a daunting! I do love me some Level 3 FGS seats though. I know both teams are technically "interstate" but have their origins here and do recall the MCC having decent number of Lions and Swans fans when we've played them recently.

Welcome to Demonland: Tom Campbell
Look I agreed with you that Boyd has the advantage due to his age. I'm not going to pretend to be an expert on the fella - obviously some posters rate him highly on here, others a little less so - just stating TC has been in the AFL system etc If we went down the Boyd route, there's still a chance that in 2 years time he hasn't played a game at AFL level and by then he would be 28 years old. We'll know a lot more about Verrall in the next 12-18 months. Also think its important to note that Max signed a 3 year deal and as that progresses we'll look a better destination for some Rucks (that are a better age fit etc) who are already on AFL lists.

- Welcome to Demonland: Tom Campbell
I don't see the issue with a stop-gap option like this, would know he's an in case of emergency break glass type acquisition. Free addition, low salary. Don't think it would necessary hinder Verrall's growth, would help share the load. Would other clubs be into Boyd? - Welcome to Demonland: Tom Campbell
