  1. I am not sure of his credentials, but it seems like he's put his hand up and is willing act in an quasi-interim position whilst the review takes place. Hopefully whatever issues there may be, can be swiftly resolved or put on the road to recovery and then board can make an informed decision/vote following the review.
  2. Not disputing they haven't worked as well as other clubs but it also depends on variables such as recent draftees, bleeding youth, cap space and other factors. Hawthorn could afford a Chol on their books but could we? We've got a lot of superstars on big money on big term deals, so the depth were cheaper options. We were basically 3 players down (at a minimum) all season with Spargo, Smith and Gus out. So the depth already being tested. Losing Jordon as a free agent only hurt us this year cos of Gus retirement, injuries and regression of form. IF Gus was medically retired before the Trade period I imagine we'd have made a better play at keeping JJ or would have kept Harmes around. Either way I don't think we're any better or worse for having swapped Harmes for Billings for example. Dunstan replaced an aging Nathan Jones who slid out of the team and Aaron Vandenberg as depth. Again not a big difference between Fullarton/Schache compared to the Weid and Mitch Brown era for example. I miss Hunt as thought he offered some line-breaking speed but the football department wanted to try something else. Were we worse off? Well we missed some of his attributes but think overall it was pretty similar net result having Hunter in the team. Agree that McAdam in has not worked so far, but still think we cant write him off yet - And it was sad to losing Bedford as he's turning into a player - but so is Chin with a more consistent run of games etc. But agree on the whole it's been uninspiring but most of those mentions were depth replacements.
  3. 'Tom Stewart will be a late out for Geelong tonight.' The old Geelong switcharoo?
  4. Seems we can't go wrong with Pick 5. A good year to be average it seems.
  5. How many of them were brought in as depth only players though
  6. Interesting (read odd) concept but doubt we'll be involved next year. Looking at the fixture Anzac day falls on a Friday last year, so there will be less fixture juggling at the start of the season. So assume the big boys and exciting teams get sent up
  7. If Mac does stay at the Suns, hopefully that's further ammunition for White to chose us given the young talls up there.
  8. Could be ready to explore in new pastures after a few years in the system. Worst case its depth after losing BBB and presumably Tomlinson.
  9. I don't want to Trade Pick 5 but also would like to add DH to the team. Glad there are people who get paid for this conundrum.
  10. So at least we know the 2024 curse put on our club doesnt discriminate
  11. It is written in the stars, after all we lost to the replacements.
  12. Just happy my 21' Petracca Fridge Magnet can stay on the fridge tbh
  13. I finally get to post a vague 'in the know' post like this, but hearing Richmond might be his destination.
  14. Id like to think he was sitting at home, after making a nice meal that takes far too much energy to make, and hes listening to some music and spotify puts on 'Roxette - Listen to Your Heart', and he stops and he just thinks about the red and the blue and that has made the decision.. and that's the only reason he makes this decision and not the fact a trade couldnt be made. Again as per previous post, i have had a few drinks.
  15. Im about to go to the pub and ive already had a few ciders, tonight I shall celebrate!
  16. My letter a lot shorter "C'Mon Bro"
  17. Now a full MCC member, so may drop the GFG. Save some money for drinks at the games to get me through them aha
  18. tbf Lawson Humphries was given 2 Votes by Eddie Betts. So 1 person voted for him much like 1 person voted for Caleb Windsor, Logan Morris (Brisbane) Matt Roberts (Sydney Swans).
  19. It is especially puzzling for a club which is deemed somewhat "irrelevant" or small by some.
  20. Both will be required to step up next year sans nibbler
  21. Another year for Luker. Hopefully it works out, if not 2025 seemingly good for us for talls.
  22. I’m still hopeful this can occur. I remember a post Christian did once on social media which ended with ‘fans are the heart and soul of football clubs’. Well, we’re all hurting
  23. The previous era was based on success and good structure, then Post Fergie/Glazer era they stayed because they were ludicrously overpaid. Unfortunately this doesn't work in a salary cap competition. The weather has deterred some stars in the past though, especially when sunny Spain is an option.
