PREGAME: Rd 12 vs St. Kilda
It's a funny one when you look at it, on one hand he helped create several goals, but on the other hand - 6 disposals at 50% efficiency, his one kick ineffective, 1 hit out etc. Either way he is living his dream and the spot is his until JvR gets his groove back.

The Soccer thread
The referee simply blew too early meaning it couldn't go to VAR, it was tough on them. BUT If hawkeye hadn't have guffed up Aston Villa would have been related in 2019/20. If they were relegated that year they woulda sold Grealish for less money, wouldn't have been in a position to sign Watkins, Martinez, Cash etc. That error was the building block on creating this villa team, so there is a little bit poetic justice/irony here.

TRAINING: Tuesday 27th May 2025
I still enjoy it and am going this weekend - but definitely has some internal struggles. Some promising signs of life with inclusion of Auckland this year, probably one of the few expansion clubs they didnt make a mistake with. Definitely loses any media presence during the Cricket/Tennis and then AFL season though. An all Melbourne Grand Final on Saturday night, on track to sell out AAMI but will get very little press in the build up

- AFL Mid-Season Draft 2025
196cm fella. GC really are arming themselves with talls. Hopefully Kalani takes note, or perhaps GC have taken note.- POSTGAME: Rd 11 vs Sydney
What will people complain about in the comments section now then?- POSTGAME: Rd 11 vs Sydney
Stats wise he may have had a quiet game but AJ’s pressure and getting a hand to the ball in our f50 resulted in 3 to 4 goals today. Does the dirty work well, just needs to polish other areas- PREGAME: Rd 11 vs Sydney
Harsh on Tommy Mac. But guess they liked what AJ brought to the table squad wise, So it was either T-Mac or Turner and they went with omitting the older option? From a long term perspective it makes some sense, but Tom has been in red hot form.- 2025 AFL Under 18 Championships
Prasad sounds promising given we're crying out for another dynamic small forward, hopefully he continues to develop his skills into his draft year- PREGAME: Rd 11 vs Sydney
He's definitely in the crosshairs on here. I'm sure our wobbly start hasn't helped. Without being mean to the fella as I do appreciate him, he's a victim of his (AFL) averageness. He's a solid player with no real explosive traits, so he comes an easy target. He does need more goals though, can remember Chin copping a lot of flack on here in the past and he's turned people around, so there is hope for the Spargoat.- The Soccer thread
@layzie Usually when one sporting team of mine is cabbage another is doing well. Sadly this does not seem to be the case in 2025.- PREGAME: Rd 11 vs Sydney
Agree we need more goals from Spargs, but worth noting there's only 5 players at the club with more Goal Assists. So wouldn't crucify him for that one too much. Chuck also 3rd highest tackles inside F50 for the Dees. He's never going to light a match on fire, so the spot is his until someone comes along with better attributes. Uncertain if that is K.Brown or not. Would like us to draft/trade another small forward who has more 'elite' stats than 'average'.- The Soccer thread
Saw a journo on Twitter who said "Football fandom is a largely obligatory existence where lows are stronger than highs. But this lifelong routine is interspersed with moments of joy so powerful that they eclipse everything, make everything else in life temporarily irrelevant and makes all the [censored] worthwhile." Reminds me of my time as a Dees supporter. Enjoy the win.- Time to go Goody?
I'm in a little footy group chat and someone wrote a message "Finding it very hard to figure out who is good/[censored] this year" - This gets bumped with every confusing/unpredicted result so far this season. curious if the robot has a better idea.- On this day in 2018
Look this doesn't really need a thread, but i am on my lunch break at work and I opened my phone and I clicked 'memories' on Facebook and it reminded me that on this day in 2018 we beat Carlton by 109 points and it made me smile. And I thought others may also take joy in remembering when we beat Carlton by 109 points. His shot at goal and pass to Fritta could have been better. His goalscoring has decreased each year, would be curious to see what shift (if any) there has been in his heat maps. I don't think it was a drop worthy performance given the Casey performances last 2 games. But he should start getting nervous in a week or two IMO. Sharp definitely has pace on Spargs but assume he'd probably be the one to make way for Viney. Chuck/Sharp were pretty equal in pressure acts (11v10) but did note Chuck had 3 tackles to 0. - Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
