  1. I finally get to post a vague 'in the know' post like this, but hearing Richmond might be his destination.
  2. Id like to think he was sitting at home, after making a nice meal that takes far too much energy to make, and hes listening to some music and spotify puts on 'Roxette - Listen to Your Heart', and he stops and he just thinks about the red and the blue and that has made the decision.. and that's the only reason he makes this decision and not the fact a trade couldnt be made. Again as per previous post, i have had a few drinks.
  3. My letter a lot shorter "C'Mon Bro"
  4. Now a full MCC member, so may drop the GFG. Save some money for drinks at the games to get me through them aha
  5. tbf Lawson Humphries was given 2 Votes by Eddie Betts. So 1 person voted for him much like 1 person voted for Caleb Windsor, Logan Morris (Brisbane) Matt Roberts (Sydney Swans).
  6. Both will be required to step up next year sans nibbler
  7. Another year for Luker. Hopefully it works out, if not 2025 seemingly good for us for talls.
  8. I’m starting to think I should have been more obnoxious celebrating our flag.
  9. Hopefully no flight risks either
  10. Not sure of rules - Can you request a priority pick to stop supporters being sad? Because I am sad
  11. Sums up Melbourne FC in 2024 tbh aha
  12. Id like a trip to Tasmania, purely for an away trip. I would also not like to play a SA team in Gather Round
  13. Some more updates from Sam Edmund Dan Houston (Port Adelaide) “He was strongly linked to Melbourne for a time and that did appear the most likely outcome before things further unraveled at the Demons,” Edmund said. “There’s the possibility that he remains at Port, but with the Melbourne door closing they’ve been looking at other avenues. “One of those avenues is absolutely St Kilda. There has been conversations between club and player here. My understanding is Houston has a level of interest in getting to Moorabbin. “As things stand, he is one to watch when it comes to St Kilda’s trade period.” Tim Membrey (St Kilda) “He’s an unrestricted free agent, so that appeals to clubs. He’s only 30 and he’s unsure where he sits at St Kilda at the moment. He’s half expecting to be permitted to seek a trade elsewhere.” “There have been preliminary conversations with North Melbourne and I think a few other clubs, but nothing has progressed too far given he’s yet to learn what it looks like at Moorabbin.” Leek Aleer (GWS) “He’s a very bright young talent and in and out of a strong Giants backline.” “The phone has rung hot for him all year. He’s contracted until 2025 at the Giants. I’ve been told he’s determined to see out at least next year. “But 2025 is a big year for Aleer to make a decision and he’s no certainly no guarantee to stay on.” Matt Owies (Carlton) “I still think the more likely outcome is that he stays.” John Noble (Collingwood) “They only had a rough inkling of (his desire to get to the Gold Coast), Collingwood.” “There was an element of surprise internally at the Pies.”
  14. Yeh was a bad start for him, but need to back him in to lift in 2025. He's got some of the right tools, hopefully fit and firing at pre-season. That being said a little ominous with 10 AFL games over 2 years though.
  15. I wasnt against him sticking around another year as depth but happy he can get a contract and a starting gig at another club. Been unlucky here at times, all the best fella
  16. The grass isn't always greener
  17. MELBOURNE has made two changes to its AFL list, informing Josh Schache and Kyah Farris-White they will not receive a contract for the 2025 season. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/1640448/melbourne-farewell-duo-of-talls/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAAR1gixR6P2Msis3OINh5HXOdV7bLfCR3ZeYlbH3mRPizY52z6Hzz6RfJgbI_aem_wYhaS_lz5igwdrLqXWZN1g
  18. Some of the decisions and execution towards the end of our transitional play Friday night was diabolical. Laurie definitely not alone there. It's not surprising we struggled on Friday given no Trac, Oliver, Sparrow, Spargo, Windsor (and Brayshaw), the depth players will struggle to cover that in the middle of the ground. Even if Laurie is not Best 22 in Season2025 i still think he's adequate depth. I don't think he'll get a consistent run of games with us and probably will be a depth player, which all clubs need.
  19. I haven't really been partaking in this but interesting to see Judd @ that position. SEN were predicting Top 3 B&Fs for each club and had this for the Dees Johnson’s Top 3 1 - Max Gawn 2 - Jack Viney 3 - Judd McVee Johnson: “I think Gawn is the number one, then you go to Viney. “Third is tough. I’ve put Judd McVee there, suggestions around Alex Neal-Bullen. “Gawn and Viney sum up one and two potentially.” Cornes: “Gawn has six All-Australians and two best and fairests. His resume is building.”
  20. To be fair I dont think the comment re: costs was too deceitful. They email said; The club will now seek recovery of its legal costs from Mr Lawrence And thats what they'll be seeking whether by negotiation with Mr Lawrence or through Submissions to the Court.
  21. To be fair, i don't think there's been that much cheerleading in this thread. There's a longstanding thread about training grounds where displeasure is often raised about the lack of action from the board. So there is criticism of the board on here, some may not delve too deep into the regulatory side of things - I'll read the judgment on this particular matter over the weekend to get a better understanding. Only defending i will do is I think Kate Roffey got some unnecessary criticism on here for not talking about Petracca -I don't think she really needs to comment about click bait journalists, she's clearly got more important and pressing tasks to deal with.
  22. That's still more than I thought given its our home game and a deadrubber.
