Doubt think Petracca would let anyone over-cook, as he's worried the correlation will impact his cooking brand/insta

Another proposed trade - Petracca to Pies - Pies Future 2nd and Reef McInnes to Dees. CP is a seriously injured 29 y.o. with $6,000,000 left on his current deal. A huge risk.

Can imagine the next Damian Barrett piece already IF... The Melbourne players were annoyed at Petracca before THEN... They'd be furious now.

some of the hypothetical trades I've seen floated on X are sensational though. Think one had North's 2nd and future 2nd getting it done based off his age and injury.

When David Beckham left United they replaced him with Cristiano Ronaldo, alls well that ends well. when Cristiano Ronaldo left United they replaced him with an old and injury prone Michael Owen, a serviceable Antonio Valencia and an untried Gabriel Obertan - that did not end well.

Imagine a world where he’s at another club and boo’d on his return to, should be going down in folklore now this. Dear me, quite tragic

It’s been a wild journey the last few weeks. We’re all searching for clarity and the media has gotten us in a panic. I am straight up not having a good time in this thread aha

Laurie Extends for 2 More Years
Some of the decisions and execution towards the end of our transitional play Friday night was diabolical. Laurie definitely not alone there. It's not surprising we struggled on Friday given no Trac, Oliver, Sparrow, Spargo, Windsor (and Brayshaw), the depth players will struggle to cover that in the middle of the ground. Even if Laurie is not Best 22 in Season2025 i still think he's adequate depth. I don't think he'll get a consistent run of games with us and probably will be a depth player, which all clubs need.

DEMONLAND 2024 PLAYER OF THE YEAR
I haven't really been partaking in this but interesting to see Judd @ that position. SEN were predicting Top 3 B&Fs for each club and had this for the Dees Johnson’s Top 3 1 - Max Gawn 2 - Jack Viney 3 - Judd McVee Johnson: “I think Gawn is the number one, then you go to Viney. “Third is tough. I’ve put Judd McVee there, suggestions around Alex Neal-Bullen. “Gawn and Viney sum up one and two potentially.” Cornes: “Gawn has six All-Australians and two best and fairests. His resume is building.”

Hopefully it'll just be the "i'm not leaving" speech from Wolf of Wall Street, but anything can happen on live tv! aha

To be fair I dont think the comment re: costs was too deceitful. They email said; The club will now seek recovery of its legal costs from Mr Lawrence And thats what they'll be seeking whether by negotiation with Mr Lawrence or through Submissions to the Court.

To be fair, i don't think there's been that much cheerleading in this thread. There's a longstanding thread about training grounds where displeasure is often raised about the lack of action from the board. So there is criticism of the board on here, some may not delve too deep into the regulatory side of things - I'll read the judgment on this particular matter over the weekend to get a better understanding. Only defending i will do is I think Kate Roffey got some unnecessary criticism on here for not talking about Petracca -I don't think she really needs to comment about click bait journalists, she's clearly got more important and pressing tasks to deal with.

They need something to talk about Monday morning to Friday afternoon. AFL press is a relentless cycle

All litigation is energy sucking. Doing real President things, we dont need to hear from her about Christian Petracca.

THE GREATEST PLAYERS IN MELBOURNE DEMONS HISTORY
I asked ChatGPT for a list and it included this; Darren Jarman: Known for his explosive pace and goal-scoring ability, Jarman was a standout forward for Melbourne in the 1990s.

Port Adelaide Chasing Kozzy Again
To be fair, if Max was ever involved in a trade situation they could probably get away with a headline of Max Gawn?
