  1. Back in my day, journalists used to write factual information that was sourced from sources with facts about things they knew about. This modern world of journaling, is just opinion pieces to sucker you in to click on it, so your personal data can be sold, mined and whatever else (whatever that means)... Also, I had to walk to school 8 mile with hessian sacks on my feet, in snow, up hill, both there and back to home, where I had to tend to the cows, collect pinecones to put on the fire and listen to Evert Taube on the Gramophone.
  2. Ola' ! My fave part of the world - how mad is this place
  3. very, very good @Nasher
  4. Portmanteau? Massaged and cured? methinks not.
  5. mmmm. supporters clearly.... since when have the players and or coaches just sat back and relaxed? (or do you merely go off win loss records to confirm it?)
  6. Ahhh, I'm probably just enthusiastic.
  7. And the blokes 5 years younger...
  8. Practically speaking, with TMAC done for the season - I assume Preuss goes forward. Does that mean Weid gets the no 1 or no 2 backman? I actually think Weids job will be harder through the lack of TMacs presence. so I for one won’t be judging a poor output too much from him because of this circumstance
  9. I agree with the first statement, but of course, that will never be said publicly Secondly - Perhaps they don't (but that might make YOU feel better). They know this all ready and will change things, which in particular looks like personnel, refinement to game plan - which only means in the off season. Winning premierships is a process of refinement
  10. @Rodney (Balls) Grinter - have a listen to Goodwin's press conference - he directly address's Preuss's development...
  11. I'd recommend anyone wanting to get a sense of Goodwin, or perhaps doubts his care and passion as demonstrated by how he performs in the media to watch todays press conference. He is succinct, open and acts with humility. Further, he dissects the need to be adaptable considering the ever-changing circumstance of games (no plan b - i hear people scream). It's a good good listen.
  12. don't you know that they're no excuse?
  13. Petty potentially... concussion
  14. on cue - more of that sledging please @whatwhatsaywhat
  15. Does this mean Dew has 'lost the players'?
  16. I wouldnt let May, Oliver, Gawn, Preuss, Jones or Viney marry my daughter... Marty Hore however...
  17. How about this. Coaches know to the nth degree players current capacity due to all the metrics they have - and will not waiver from the game style as they understand that the players in 2019 because of fitness/injury/preason cannot actually polish off the game style. BUT rather than revert to another game style for the sake of one year- understand the bigger picture of refinement of numerous seasons. It is US supporters who take things out of context - whom look at things in one year cycles, or get emotional over things in an even shorter amount of time particularly when we are losing, and lose sight of the bigger picture.
  18. Do you take on the information that these clubs have not been hit with the severity that we have?
  19. #stopmakingsense ?
  20. mmmm imagine projecting your own thoughts on to players.
  21. I agree @Mazer Rackham Dare I say it, but CP5 looks like he could have a break out game and announce he is a superstar like Charlie Curnow that Lyon, Bristle et al, have banged out about since his draft year.... But seriously, he is playing very very good football at the moment.
  22. Whoa @Ethan Tremblay- that wasn't a serve at you- just a 'pithy' bit of psychobabble... I did toss putting drinks consecutively throughout
  23. Ahhh the 7 stages of grief as a football supporter Shock and Disbelief Verbally execute the coach/game plan/development Anger - hence Blame the Umpires/free kick count Depression, Lonliness, Reflection Think of Who we can Trade Acceptance Drink
