  1. I appreciate the kiss, thanks.
  2. Is this an educated guess? Have there been more positions vacated that have not been announced and consequently filled? How do you know this? So many questions...
  3. Nice to see Marty Hore up there too...
  4. Nice work 'Lenny" or should I say "Barry" You are still by far the 'hardest man' on here.
  5. Genuinely curious, why won't he make it @rjay
  6. You are bang on @DeeSpencer, it's what is not said that matters at times. Some interpret our silence as getting shafted/bent over rah rah rah, - all clubs and all personel are part of an industry that is happy to look after all parties, even if appearances from the outside it does not look like it. The AFL still want Melbourne (read ALL teams) to be competitive due to TV rights... It could be King, it may not be, and I guarantee that there is an agreement for something ie:, player, political, financial assistance, other , hence the carry on as usual stance.
  7. When I come on to the forum for some chuckles...I keep getting mislead by the name @Demonsone vs @demonstone. One is essentially positive and one less so... One letter makes a massive difference.
  8. It's all a lovely big sexy sticky sweaty orgy on this forum when we are winning though...
  9. @Rusty Nails - give us a list of whom should be traded in. Then let me know if those players would want to leave their respective clubs and or want to come to the Dees mate? Resting on Laurels? I feel that comment is unfair. At the midway mark of the season, they delisted a range of coaches, and fitness staff. With respect to your 'past tense' "this trade period was" - it's still active mate...and you and I both have no idea what is happening with conversations... Methinks your pessimism is getting in the way of being objective this particular morning.
  10. I don’t have an answer here, but what I find fascinating is what reasons the Football Department see Frost as either expendable/problematic to their game plan going forward - or why they’re prepared to lose someone with trade currency, in service of obtaining what or whom going forward. Anyone make some sense on this for me?
  11. FFS @jnrmac - I'm not typically in to your histrionics when you post, and your comment on the language I used in my post has raised my ire. I use understated language out of respect and of acknowledgement of the legacy of Clarkson, that might not be your cup of tea, but get your hand off it.
  12. erm , these are just little factoids that at some stage will be broken, either Goodwin, perhaps Hinkley, perhaps Rutten, perhaps Teague... it'll happen. Mind, not a bad legacy at all.
  13. why is it easy for WA/SA clubs?
  14. Right you are sir.
  15. Oh, I figured as he is a Lorne boy that there is a media 'go home factor' (tm) which is Geelong, you know because, it's their backyard and etc etc yadda yadda yadda....
  16. no, the faux psychology blokes they employed to do the camp.
  17. He isn't a superstar, and nor do the club expect him to be one, he is as some people call it, a role player, or moneyball. What ever language you wish to use, we have the grunt to get the pill, AND we need someone with silk who can deliver the ball into the 50. He will be ONE of those person... More broadly speaking, I feel in these forums, there is a need to move away from looking at high possession counts as the only way to influence the game, when we are discussing the value of a draftee... And, this is simply one mans' opine
  18. On a side note, I'm not sure which Elliot I would prefer.
  19. Typical Thread on Melbournes capacity to draft +ve viewpoint "Player x would fit well and be a great addition" -ve viewpoint "Yeah but the MFC suck at getting anyone good, and if we do, we always get reamed and pay over the odds AND they are always injured" -vs viewpoint "also, we never get anyone good, just spuds and list cloggers" +ve viewpoint "mmm uh huh" -ve " jason taylor jason taylor jason taylor" -ve "mahoney mahoney mahoney pert pert pert" +ve " so if we get a class player, we pay overs, and if we don't get a class player BUT a role player, that's not good enough? Who do you expect us to draft?" -ve "non response, just indignant rage at poster"
  20. It's the cynic in me - and I cannot help but think that there would be 'club/lockeroom talk' at all clubs on how to evade tests. Look at G.Allen and C Lambert with Whitfield as one example, and yes, it is just one example, but Cousins spoke about his capacity to evade testing and how certain players feel 'targeted' while others have gone years without being tested. 'Lads, we don't care what you do in your own time, its your call, just dont get caught'.
  21. #mahoneynotdoingenough
  22. the fappening...
  23. just go back to manchester and sing "hand in glove" or "panic" Morrisey....
  24. Some very astute observations there @Red and Blue realist
