Malthouse was probably telling the tree how poplar he is.

Kade Chandler Set to Debut
Mmmm, but if you extrapolate that logicto TMAC - he is only a one season wonder
-
Alan Richardson
Mmmm, let's not crucify Goodwin for similar traits though eh.
-
Jack Viney
Huh... did Jack employ his Dad? Did Todd get his son the gig? Is the need to grow up referring to the poster?
-
Alan Richardson
I am neither here nor there with Richo - I am wondering what the powers that be, see as the value that he would bring, and for what role?

Goodwin Presser (28/6)
good god @stevethemanjordan - anyone would think you're engaging in shameless self promotion like Craig Jennings.

Living in the past
Nah, have to be a comment re: Membership - so I guess we go also back to the 60's when the members transferred to Hawthorn...

POSTMATCH: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
Apologies @Redleg if that came across as curt. It's a funny one - sometimes I can't believe how much I care about random dudes that I have never met running around in particular colours from 2017-2018 when we were winning things, after that apathy of the previous 10-12 years (aside from a bit of fun with D.Bailey) - and then to come back to apathy is well... quite sad.

Garry Lyon
Whats the problem if he has an opinion, or Caroline Wilson, or Kane Cornes, or some dude/dudette on Demonland? In all seriousness - it's all just fugazi and irrelevant to decisions made internally....

Goody Presser (8/8)
I hear (see??) what you are saying with ref to the playing list explicitly - and I think @Lucifer's Hero that you could apply the same analysis on ALL other clubs playing list and not get disimilar results at the coaches 3/4 year mark. I feel it's a little disingenuous to present this data and say it's only applicable to the MFC. postscript - i have zero evidence of this, it is just the 'vibe'.

Goody Presser (8/8)
I disagree strongly with the need for an old school cranky coach (not older coach though). This generation doesn't deal with that style, and will either disengage from the process, or be too scared to play with freedom. It's not tenable nowadays. I have no idea who would be a good fit, but I know for certain due to what I get exposed to work wise, that old school coaches that deliver information either via a 'rocket' or wants to get players to 'harden up' and just get on with the process - won't work in the 2020 club environment.

The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
Mmm, I get your point - I assume the AFL will see these things as mutually exclusive and not be punitive to the Suns for one individuals decision making.

Goody Presser (8/8)
Soz @DemonOX, I like to add a little drama to posts. Anyway - I presume Goodwin may not like the cut of Richardson's jib...thus - there would presumably be a range of options OTHER than Richardson, who would fit well into the club.

Is Richardson the messiah? Is he the only option?

Injury List - Season 2019
Tried to Pm you (why don't some folk have Pm's - too much fanmail??) - greatly appreciate the effort you put in and then detail it in a measured way back to those that wouldn't know where to begin looking (or have the inclination). Champion effort. Same for @fr_ap

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
There is a lot of discomfort in saying it - but I agree, with the sentiment of Viney's limit has been reached. The centre line unit functions better without him in it - and I don't see a certain place for him elsewhere on the park if he isn't part of the centre team.

Sam Menegola
I rate him...immensely - can't quite crack a permanent position at the Cats. I think he'd complement our need for outside mid/half forward very nicely.
