  1. Small forwards who can't find the football or kick goals aren't valuable, which is why Spargo found himself at Casey last year. Hayward is the opposite to Spargo.
  2. We gave Spargo a 4 year deal, and Hayward is 10 times the player. Hayward is rightfully in high demand whereas no other club would have been looking at Spargo.
  3. I'd do that deal simply due to Petty's recent injury record, and if he has a strong desire to leave.
  4. The thought of trading Petty at the end of last year is ridiculous. Fast forward and you can imagine the backlash if KPF stocks at the start of the year comprised of: BBB, T Mac (both looking passed it) Jefferson (not ready) Schache (say no more) and JVR ( who is compelled to play 2nd ruck). I suspect Petty is a confidence player who doesn't have full confidence in his body. He showed what he can do as a forward against the Cats. I think he'll be a good player at the Crows.
  5. I had no issue with McAdam because he potentially offers us something unique. As it turns out his fitness seems to be an issue. But I was never in favour of Billings, especially after getting Hunter. Both were seasoned footballers who were discarded for a reason, which I said at the time. I also questioned the acquisition of Hore. And everyone bar the sycophants questioned the re-signing of Schache. People argue that these acquisitions were low cost, but every list spot is valuable. Unless the player is an A-Grader coming off a good season, I'd rather we trade for players with upside than players who were past it.
  6. That's libelous. I hope you've got a good lawyer.
  7. I suggest you do some research to see what Sharp, Hollands and Bowes cost their new clubs. It was less than what we gave up for the likes of Grundy, Billings and Hunter. And we lost young talent in Jordon and Bedford due to lack of opportunity. And we still haven't got a genuine 2nd ruckman on our list. If you think that our list management has been fine then you've got your head buried in the sand.
  8. So our solution for the past 2 years has been to trade for 27yo discards from other clubs coming off 1-3 years of poor form. And to say that Sharp did nothing at the Suns shows that you don't watch other teams. The Suns had heaps of young talent vying for spots. Sharp and Elijah Hollands were on the outer. Both players have excelled once given the opportunity.
  9. Jordon's playing time was cut because we got Hunter. Regardless of what money Sydney were offering, he was never going to stay. Same goes for Bedford leaving due to lack of opportunies. Rather than drafting and developing the youth coming through, we've topped up with discards from other clubs. And yes, I was totally against getting both Hunter and Billings at the time. And I disagree with your final statement. When you add those blunders with Schache, Hore, Fullarton and McAdam, it is a huge reason as why we are where we are now.
  10. You forget to include Marty Hore, and that we gave up a heap of draft capital to move up 2 spots to get Tholstrup. I've called out Lamb over our trade weeks for the past 2 years, but the sycophants on here won't accept any criticism of our officials.
  11. We are in no position to consider anyone as lowly opposition after the Eagles pulled our pants down. I wish our supporters would stop this arrogance.
  12. At least with his size he looks like a legit forward/ruck. Good luck to the kid.
  13. Please!!!! The Eagles were missing their best player this year in Yeo, and their captain and best player Oscar Allen. Stop using injuries as an excuse. Our core of guns are NOT paying well.
  14. JJ and Bedford have been better for their respective sides than Billings and Hunter have been for us. Fact!!!! JJ has been used as a tagger to great effect at Sydney. Our mids are getting decimated, and Goodwin is clueless to do anything about it.
  15. Yes, blame it on training loads. [censored].
  16. Lamb said the same garbage about Grundy and Hunter. And then we re-sign Schache. Our list management has been pathetic since we won the flag. Rehashing rejects from other clubs, and lose Bedford and JJ due to lack of game time. And when you look at Casey, there's virtually no depth.
  17. 100% agree. Gets plenty of possessions but is so slow to move the ball on. And his disposal isn't great either. Fullarton, McAdam and Hore are the only ones pressing for selection. Thanks BBB for the memories of the 2021 flag, but you are not physically capable at VFL level, let alone AFL.
  18. Wrong Brown. That's Kynan Brown. BBB 2 kicks and that's it.
  19. We should have traded Goody after the 2021 flag. Very short sighted of the board. Just kidding.
  20. Finally a voice of reason. Playing Max and Grundy wouldn't have fixed our scoring woes. So unless we paid Grundy his full contract to sit out of football for 5 years, he was always going to come up against Max at some stage this year. We have bigger issues than Max.
  21. Spot on in regards to Billings. He was good in both lead-up games, and gets the vest. Spargo walks straight in after missing both games, and does what he usually does which is SFA. Two of our better players were unheralded draftees in Howes and McVee. We decide to give up our draft capital to GC to move up a couple of places to get Tholstrup. No issue with Tholstrup, but instead of drafting some more kids, we've used list spots on Hore and Billings. Goodwin clearly doesn't rate either. Our list management has been pathetic since we won the flag.
  22. I don't live near Caulfield, but I couldn't care less how inconvenient Caulfield is for some supporters. Players will never outwardly complain about driving 1-2 hours to Casey to train, but inwardly most would hate it. By choice, I've spent the past 20 years working within a 30 minute walk from home. And I've prepared to sacrifice money to do so. Having a home base within a short distance of the CBD will be a great selling point when trying to attract players, or even player retention. Get it done.
  23. Gold Coast and GWS don't have access to Father/Son picks like every other club. Given the number of players that these clubs seem to lose due to the "go home" factor, I have no issue with the academy picks.
  24. Correct me if I'm wrong, but we traded out pick 42 which was a live pick. Maybe someone is getting upgraded from our rookie list.
  25. It would be hard to compare with so many AFL affiliated clubs in the VFL, and only 2 in the WAFL. The AFL affiliated clubs in the WAFL don't dominate, and the Eagles 2s didn't win a game this year. At VFL level, non-affiliated clubs like Werribee and Williamstown performed well this year.
