  1. Windsor has that sewn up. Hunter will spend most of the year at Casey.
  2. The headline is written by someone who doesn't bet. The crux of the article states that the AFL receives truckloads of money from betting agencies, and names people associated with the game, who have sponsorship deals. So what?
  3. Ich bin ein Demonlander.
  4. Not if you're a provisional member who supports one of bigger clubs. I have quite a few friends in this position who are questioning whether to renew.
  5. To say we have the best young talent is laughable. And to say the failed recruits cost us zilch is incorrect. We spent all of 2023 trying to see if the Gawn/Grundy experiment would work. It didn't. Acquiring Hunter diminished JJ's playing time and ultimately led to his departute. Every list spot is valuable. Acquiring failed recruits like Grundy, Hunter, Schache and Billings has left us with little to no depth, or emerging talent at Casey.
  6. He no longer has any interest in joining us. Has spoken to 4 clubs, and we are not one of them.
  7. Our trading over the past 3 years has been our own worst enemy. Recruiting bargain basement players during trade week, who weren't the right fit, has hurt us badly. Giving Schache another year was mind boggling. We have a good draft hand this year, and I don't want Tim Lamb anywhere near our picks. Fortunately the Houston trade has fallen through. Jason Taylor is more than capable of handling any trades for pick swaps.
  8. I'm usually one for getting nice new shiny toys, but after our trades over the past 3 years, I'd rather we went through the draft and got a batch of 5-6 kids in the door. I would be more than happy with another couple of kids of the calibre of Windsor and Tholstrup. Watching the Casey team this season being filled with failed recruits from other clubs, and very little junior talent, I have more confidence in Jason Taylor than Tim Lamb/Alan Richardson.
  9. Sicily should be pulling his younger players into line for making twats of themselves. Then he wouldn't have to stand up for them.
  10. Ginnivan deserved his right whack. Good onya Kenny.
  11. So if we had to fly to Brisbane every week to play, you wouldn't see that as being detrimental to their performance? If I had a choice of clubs, the travel time to training would be a factor.
  12. You do realise that Houston has a say in the matter? We are out of the race. End of story.
  13. 54 games in 5 seasons. No thanks.
  14. I'd rather these 5 getting extended for a year than Hunter, Hore and JS. Is Jed Adams still under contract?
  15. To be honest, our depth is so poor, we are in no position to be pensioning off the likes of Melksham and T Mac. It's not a slight on these two, but we have noone coming through the ranks to challenge them for a place in the team. It was a no brainer that Melksham and T Mac would be given another year.
  16. List management 101. Replace players who we deemed as flawed and no longer required, with like for like. And we don't need key forward list cloggers like Taberner. We need to see what Jefferson and Fullerton can do.
  17. Taberner and Ross are both 31. I'd rather go for the best state league talent with a hunger to succeed than washed up players like these 2.
  18. `Malcolm Speed was able to shed light on the legal proceedings the club has been involved with. Since neither parties are allowed to comment on proceedings, there has been a lot of misinformation and guesswork by some on Demonland. It was nice to get a clear picture.

You'd imagine that Cerra is on good coin so his trade value is diminished even further. I wouldn't even entertain a future 1st for him.
  20. Speed said that the review shouldn't be made public because it could damage people's reputation. But if changes are made as a result of a review, then any person that loses their job ultimately has their reputation damaged. I think the point he was making is that the review should be brutally honest, regardless of whether wholesale changes occur. For instance, Goodwin could survive the review, but still have brutal feedback conveyed to him without it being public knowledge.
  21. You are kidding. Who do we have as midfielders who can as an inside or outside mid? He's far better than Hunter and Billings.
  22. Jordon was a permanent fixture in our premiership year until he got injured. He was underrated by many on Demonland.

Cheap depth over the past 3 years has only brought us list cloggers, and actually destroyed our depth. We need to stop this nonsense. Either recruit players who we rate as top 20 on our list or go to the draft with our picks.
  24. Dees supporters don't have time for social media because they spend all their time on Demonland.
  25. That's exactly what I'm inferring. Either senior people at the club were ignorant of our deeper problems, or were trying to hide them under the carpet and hoped it went away. It's incompetence regardless. Trac is the wrong person being vilified imo.
