If we didn't get Hunter, there's every chance Jordon would still be at the club. And Hunter was bog average in his first season, and kept Jordon out of the side. Hunter was a terrible short-sighted pick-up, as Caleb Daniel would be.
-
Daniel falls into the Hunter and Billings category. Their best is well past them, and unwanted by their clubs for a reason. D'Ambrosia and Chol both had unfulfilled potential. They're the types we should be targetting. McAdam was still wanted by the Crows, and I think can still be a decent contributor for us. Fullerton hasn't been given a chance and is playing in a crappy Casey team.

Clearly one of these is a fake. My copy of "Lies and Prejudice" is the same thickness as "War and Peace".

I'm not a fan of getting Will Brodie because I see him being another Luke Dunstan. He'll dominate in the VFL but will get overlooked for selection even when we have injuries to our on-ballers. Would much rather spend the cash on Peatling or draft pick on Hobbs, who still have upside. My biggest concern is Alan Richardson coming out and saying our list profile needs to get older rather than younger. This gives me vibes of getting the next Hunter, Billings or Hore.

Maynard, Pickett, Christian and justice and fairness.

Get over it. What Pickett did was stupid given his record. He was always going to get 3 weeks. And in the minds of many Demonlanders, Maynard is the sole reason we finished 14th. -
Are you trying to justify all the posts where you slagged off Trac? There's been many a player who's been dissatisfied with their club, but ended up staying. And I fully support Trac for raising his concerns. Nobody denies that there are issues at the club, but directing insults at Trac doesn't change anything.
-
I'm expecting a 100 apologies from the Demonlanders who questioned his character.
-
And we could end up with the next Tapscott, Gysberts and Blease. For Trac and Kossie, I'd be looking at 3 picks within the top 5.
-
Presti was fortunate to get SGA as part of the Paul George trade. OKC wouldn't be a playoff team without him. None of your trade scenarios includes another team sending a gun young player our way. Cameron Schwab had the same plan and look how that turned out.

Disagree. Four years ago the Pies were getting piled on by the media after their fire sale of players. The Blues and Bombers constantly get piled on by the media. I don't read the H/S or listen to SEN, but I do know from mates who support Essendon, Carlton, Richmond and Collingwood that the talkback lines run hot on SEN when these teams are struggling on or off the field.

Excellent news. I wasn't keen on getting Houston from the start. We need to allow Jason Taylor to use our draft capital, rather than Tim Lamb blowing it on players that don't move the needle for us.
-
TBH, with the number of players leaving/retired/delisted, we may need Kenterfield in order to field a side.
-
Pass this list on to Tim Lamb. Suggest that it's a better source of talent than recruiting rejects from other clubs.

That was my response to the email.
-
Smurf, I'm all for an external review, but I see a "No" response to the email as an endorsement of Peter Lawrence Deemocracy, which could not be further from the truth. I'm all for change, but Peter Lawrence's efforts seem to be ego driven, rather than what's best for the club.

Houston - Don't want to give up 2 1st rd picks. Rather go to the draft. Macrae, Parker, Shiel - No. Getting players on the decline has been terrible for us in the past 3 years. Peatling, Hobbs, Davies - Yes. Young players who have shown ability and could be prised from their club.
-
It would just be a shuffling of later picks.
-
No surprise. He's been pure depth for us, and even when he performed well, he was straight out of the team. Unless, Petty or Turner move back to defence, it leaves us short on kpd depth. Adams is still an unknown quantity.
-
Trac doesn't suit their timeline, and I doubt they would see him as a leader, unlike Jack Viney.
-
Que? Houston would want to come to a contending club. We aren't contending without Trac.
-
He did his ACL in his 1st preseason. That's adversity in my books.

The criticisms of Fritsch are ridiculous. As others have pointed out, it's not always the role of a key forward to be chasing backmen up the field. Sure, he could improve his tackling, but nearly everyone on our list could improve some aspect of their game. Some Demonlanders want to trade him in 2020, but without him, we don't win a flag. I always go into games thinking that unless Fritsch or Kossie fire, we have no hope of winning.

It's impossible to measure the impact of assistant coaches. But I feel that Goodwin needs some fresh ideas around him. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a club decision to part with Stafford, but gave him a dignified exit by saying it was his decision to leave.

THE GREATEST PLAYERS IN MELBOURNE DEMONS HISTORY
mo64 replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Started following the club in 1972. 1. Flower 2. Gawn 3. Lyon 4. Neitz 5. Petracca If Oliver can get back to his old self, then he'll get in the top 5. -
I don't think so. If ANB was of the same quality as Kozzie, we would hold him to his contract, and make arrangements to satisfy his family issues in SA.
