  1. Because we are still incompetent from top down. Even the handling of pushing Clarry out the door for nothing and paying half his wage reeks of incompetence. And I'm sure that it would have needed approval from the President and CEO.
  2. And do you think that the club has got every football department decision correct in the past 4 years? It's not just Tim Lamb, but you blindly back every person that is at the club. The facts are that our recruiting from other clubs since 2020 has been a disaster, and Tim Lamb is part of the decision making. Conversely we've lost players like Jordon and Bedford, who left due to lack of opportunity. The reality is that we have gone from having a premiership contending list to a bottom 4 list. And Tim Lamb as "List Manager" is a major part of the problem.
  3. My point being that if we don't get him next year, he'll be up for grabs next year. It's not like he's publicly come out and said "I want to be a Demon", which would make it embarrassing for him to choose another club next year.
  4. His manager's comments did nothing to suggest that we were BH's club of choice. He made it clear that BH wanted to return home and thought it may be made possible on the back of the Flanders and Ainsworth trades. We had the currency this year, which is why we are linked. There has been no commitment or determination from BH to come to us, like we've seen with Trac, Merrett and Curnow. No doubt that other clubs will jump the queue for BH next year.
  5. That's all well and good if we had a recent history of attracting elite talent from other clubs. We'll be losing 5 legitimate A graders over this time, which is not easy to replace. We basically need to hit on all our recent/upcoming draft picks to be a finals contender, let alone be the premiership contender that we currently should be.
  6. When it comes to trade week, we are an easy prey due to our incompetence. Do you think GCS are going to show good faith with the Trac trade, after we gifted them picks a couple of years ago, just to move up 3 spots late in the 1st round? No, they'll screw us over. It's like a Lamb to the slaughter.
  7. You're joking. Hibberd was an excellent kick.
  8. I'm sure some of the "compelling wishes" of players are dubious. Should would trade Kozzie if he decides he's missing his family? Luke Jackson wanted to go home for family reasons, and the next minute there's talk that he wants to get out of there. And I think Scot Thompson pulled the wool over our eyes with his go home request. Players that sign up for the draft know what they're in for.
  9. According to Mitch Cleary he was told to explore the market. He should be a late pick swap at best.
  10. Of course it suits them. BH has potential star talent, whilst Flanders and Ainsworth are expendable. And with the picks they can get Trac and their academy players. It's called good list management. Maybe we can take note.
  11. If we thought there are "guns" in this draft, why did we trade out of it last year?
  12. You could say that the club were tired of Trac asking for a trade 2 years running, but you can't conclude that his teammates don't want him around. As a footballer, he's been a total pro.
  13. And on Wednesday, we trade all those picks back to them for Bailey Humphrey.
  14. Pass. He flatters to deceive. Had him in Fantasy in 2024. Looks good for a qtr, and goes missing for 3.
  15. How did you cope in the days of chilliboy and nudge?
  16. John Denver.
  17. Who's got the Jack?
  18. What has his manager done to annoy us? And how will it change anything?
  19. If the Bombers don't want a particular player that the Hawks are offering, why would we want them? And the Bombers already have our pick, so not sure why they will look to load up in this draft. Only possibility is that they trade 2 high picks to the Eagles for pick 1 to land Duursma.
  20. The person handing out the contracts is still there.
  21. Well if he's proven correct, then direct your anger at the club. BTW, all the journos are throwing up this trade scenario.
  22. You were at Ascot talking to the Duke of Windsor?
  23. I realise that Lamb doesn't act alone, but when our recruiting from other clubs has been so diabolical recently, somebody needs to be held accountable. JT and his team scout outside the AFL system. Lamb would be dealing with player managers to suss out the availability of players at other clubs. Dunstan, Shache, Fullarton, Billings, Grundy, Hunter, McAdam aren't being scouted by JT. And to make things worse, Bedford and Jordon left because their opportunities for game time were hindered.
  24. His track record in the past. For the past 3 years we've given away 2nd and 3rd round picks for no reason. The Tholstrup deal was a Lamb special. And you can bank on him giving GCS latter picks on the Trac deal.
  25. The board, CEO or coach don't negotiate trades. The CEO may sign off on letting Trac and Oliver leave, but it's the List Manager's job to negotiate the best deal. Why do people keep defending Lamb?
