The criticisms of Fritsch are ridiculous. As others have pointed out, it's not always the role of a key forward to be chasing backmen up the field. Sure, he could improve his tackling, but nearly everyone on our list could improve some aspect of their game. Some Demonlanders want to trade him in 2020, but without him, we don't win a flag. If you've followed Casey all year, there's been plenty of games where Casey has been stacked with senior players. The problem is that most of these players have been recruited from other clubs, and are either past it, or are unmotivated. Casey have been putrid all year even when they've had the more experience.

So hypothetically, what if Trac tells Pert that he has an issue with Goody's gameplan? Or he's concerned with the direction of the club in terms of our poor recruiting in recent years? Pert can't direct Trac's concerns to the respective departments. It undermines the authority of those people in the roles. This is why an independent/external review of the club is needed. The fact that a CEO has to address the concerns of a player suggests that all is not well.

Parker will be 32 before the season starts. He's achieved pretty much everything as a Swans player, so I question his motivation for leaving. We have 3 older mids in Trac, Viney and Oliver. We don't need a 32yo with a recent injury history on our list.

Peatling is exactly the type of player we should have been pursuing over the past 3 years. Instead Lamb goes after 27yo unwanted players who's best was past them.

Don't blame the messenger, it's their job to source and publish info like this. And for those calling for a witchhunt for a supposed leak at clubland. this type of info could have been passed on by a person 4 times removed from ANB. Player managers talk to family, who in turn talk to friends and workmates. It's easy for this story to get out. And he's hardly a high profile player.

Perfect summation. I've always believed that we needed an upgrade on his role. Being a good clubman won him plenty of brownie points with the coaches. But the reality is we need to improve, and Nibbler is expendable. He'll be remembered as a premiership player, and wish him the best.

If Houston was a free agent, by all means get him. But a running half back/wing is not our most pressing need. Giving up 1st round draft picks for a 27yo, who doesn't move the needle, is poor list management. If the club genuinely believes we are still in a premiership window, then use draft capital on addressing our obvious needs. Houston is an upgrade on Hunter and Billings, but that's setting the bar low.

Of all the bewildering trades over the past 3 years, re-signing Schache for another year takes the cake.

The only appeal of Cumming is that he's a free agent. But his form/age profile is the exact same as Hunter and Billings. He's out of favour for a reason. We should be targeting players in their early 20's who have shown something, but can't get a game due to the quality of players ahead of them. GWS have moved Callum Brown down back rather than play Cumming.
