You're not Michael Newton Magic over at 'ology are you? Because I think he is getting the same info as you (including the fact that the announcement was changed from Friday to Monday).

No, I am not. I'm just me, and it looks like I am puttin gmy life on the line here!!! If you have a look at the posts I made, I am not trying to big note myself. I have simply stated facts and tried to evaluate them.

Hutchie said it owuld be announced today, then later in the same function, he said Monday. Because he did say it, it wouldn't surpise me if MNM got the same mail from the same function.

I was talking to my friend last night who is a current MFC player and we were talking about Judd to melbourne. I said he wouldn't go, he seemed to think he would so i said let's have a bet on it and he reluctantly declined.

Anyway, today at around 2ish i got a message from him saying "so how much do you want to bet on Judd coming to melbourne?"

Food for thought....

Carlton fans on bigfooty are certain he has chosen us. They reckon it will hurt us to give up our picks more than them because apparently we have a weak forward line, defence and ruck and it will be a one man show. Pretty rich...

Bitterness. They all thought they were a lay-down misere when this thing started.

As you said, it's pretty rich coming from an outfit like Carlton, who have one extremely temperamental full forward, a couple of half-decent youngsters and one good midfielder to hang their hats on.

As opposed to Carlton, who even if they don't give up any of their players or picks, will still have a weak forward line, defense and ruck!

Carlton- trying to buy their way out of the gutter and failing miserably.

Ok. What Hutchie said is this:

Judd to Melb for picks 3, 9 and 21.

Pick 9 we will get for Frawley to St Kilda.

Now, not saying it's true. Simply saying that, as a matter of absolute fact, that is the word from Hutchie.

He said we want to get it done early in trade week.

You mean pick 4.

And lame. I don't want Spud Junior to go.

Assuming you meant pick 4 it's perfectly plausible though.

So we're losing pick 4, Frawley and pick 21?

That sounds ok to me. Hopefully we can try to get a top 10 pick without having to lose Frawley though. I would think that given West Coast's interest in Frawley last year, that they'd be happy with Frawley himself (rather than pick 9).

Did Hutchy say when the announcement will be made, or heaven forbid, his source? <_<

In fairness Jaded, Hutchie hasn't got to be the little sniffer dog he is by giving up his sources. What we do know is that he's usually on the money, especially when the announcement is not too far away.

Agreed about Frawley. I woulda thought Weagles would rather take him than Pick 9, and it would save us involving a third party. Perhaps there is some complication with Frawley not wanting to go to Perth though. That wouldn't surprise me. It would be kind of bastard of us to ship him off there after 1 year.

Tony Jones announced that Judd is expected to go to melbourne. Apparently he was very impressed with Dean Baley and wants to play on the G as the home ground. In my opinion this is good and bad news. I would love him but will cost too much. Thoughts

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form
