Coming into the Sandringham side are six handy players at this level - Bode, Ferguson, Dunn, Newton and CJ from Melbourne's triumphant Round 22 winning side against Carlton and Chris Lamb back from injury. It's a much stronger team on paper than last week.

Interchange (from) Dean Gilchrist Hughes M Johnston T Johnston S Martin Martyn Paterakis

Given his form over the last 4 weeks, there's no way Tom Paterakis would miss out on this team, so I'd be guessing it would be: Hughes, T Johnston, S Martin, Paterakis. Definitely a much stronger looking team this week, see you at Port Melbourne!

From Melbourne Central, walk down to Collins Street and catch the 109 (??) tram heading to Port Melbourne. I'm fairly sure TEAC Oval is close to the tram line. Just ask the driver.

Or (if if still runs) the Garden City bus from Flinders St might get you a bit closer.

Now now Fan..... your mood will change once you've had a few stubbies... I was just talking with Brad, and he's also not pleased with my 2007 attendance either. Love is grand, but apparently massaging your ego is more important. Lesson learnt.... :P

You guys are obviously diehards.

I hardly ever get along to Sandy - work shifts, kids etc.

I can go tomorrow. I was wondering how much support the Demons will give Sandy in their finals campaign now that Dees' season is over. Will players, admin, coaches, Board etc get along to support Sandy at the weekend (might be able to get an autograph for the kids if they do)?

I won't be there - not because of commitments etc. - Just because I don't really care all that much about Sandringham.

Far enough, it's our seconds & I know it's good for our kids & for injured players to come back through but my number 1 is Melbourne FC & they have all my passion...

If you were REALLY passionate as you claim then you would want to follow all the Melbourne players where ever they played.

Oh and BTW the Sandringham Football Club is not the MFC "seconds ' but a seperate entity.

Check last weeks finals team that had a handfull of Melbourne players none of whom are regular senior players and Sandy still just got beaten!.

So your pretty much saying that you don't give a S#*T about the players at all, and you're saying that if another club was wearing the Melbourne guernsey that you would barrack for them???

it is ridiculous that you would make a comment like that.

I support the PLAYERS as well as the Jumper.

I was pleased by your attendance (or lack there of). You better not come they don't let you leave at halftime.

Ok. Good.

But let me ask you this... Who's your favorite player?

Then ask yourself if that player was traded to Brisbane, would you fly up there, get a membership & live up there until he retires??

Doubt it.

Of course I support the players but ultimately, they are there to serve the mighty red & blue.

After all, that's what they're paid to do................

In future, don't make stupid negative remarks about me ;)

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th
