unwanted by eagles, only 23 would he be worth a shot with us?

Would be a great pick up for us. Better than anyone else wev'e got from the West Coke Eagles.

You'd have to find him first. Apparently he's buggered off up the coast & they're not expecting him back anytime soon.

At his best, Sampi is a very very good player. However is it worth going after someone who doesn't seem to have the work ethic or the desire to put in the hard yards? I'm not so sure.

Also, we got Paul Johnson from the Eagles and he is proving very handy!

We need a forward pocket specialist!

if he's willing to put in the hard yards then i'd consider him.

at his best would be definite starting 18.

difference between him and picket...sampi is 23

relocation might do him good. or it might be too much. mature age rookie for 1 year, keep a spot on the list to promote him if he puts in hard yards?

had great potential - but hasn't turned it on in years now

if home issues are a problem now, they will be much worse if he is living with melbourne

thanks, but no thanks

well look at Rodan last year. Port picked him up with their last round pick...80 something. If we can do the same for Sampi then it would be worth it as its terribly unlikely that we will get a good player at pick 80 anyway. Thats my thought anyway

Rodan is a completely different scenario. He had injury problems and was not rated by the club that axed him.

Sampi (as far as we know) is of healthy body, and everyone knows he can play. His headspace is an issue and generally, once a player is a headcase he is always a headcase.

Big fat PASS for me.

I actually think Richmond rated him up till the last season before he was injured. I recon we can pick him up even cheaper than Rodan due to that reason.

Rodan's one of the hardest workers in the game. Rodan does everything he can to improve himself as a playa while Sampi lives off his pure talent. Cupido like?

PASS.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
