I didn't catch much of the second half so I'm just going off how the scoring unfolded but do you think the overall fitness is there for the Blues? Their ability to run out games has been a bit suspect in recent times.

There are definite issues with fitness, similar fade outs to last season. Admittedly, it was humid up there, north of the Murray in The Nepo Baby territories. The Swans are super fit and conditioned, perhaps even too much for early in the season 🤔

Anyways, the other Northern Nepo Babies dusted up Geelong so not feeling as morose as this morning 😁

What a person desires can change with time. He did at some point crave playing in front of a massive crowd and more than once had a go at our fans for not turning up. But more recently, changes in his personal life meant that living interstate was more of a priority. At some point in the future he may again want to play in front of huge crowds but unfortunately for him that’s never gonna happen with the Suns.

I feel a bit crazy, but I really struggle to believe that’s how many people were at that ground. It’s a tiny venue and there were a lot of empty seats.

Capacity is 27,500 and 19,859 is essentially 3/4 full.

That did not look 3/4 full to me at all 😂 maybe I’m just really bad at judging crowd number though.

As much as I don't wish him any ill will, I am somewhat annoyed.

It certainly looks like he's applied himself more up there. Faster, clearer. Showing far more composure hitting targets.

Of course maybe he needed the change, and maybe the team has others so he doesn't have to do it all. But still, we could sure have used the petracca of last night over the last few years....

I have said this since I started following footy, as it allows me to look at things a little deeper. After the first 6 rounds, some sides are a little slower to start, while others burst out of the blocks. The competition studies ball movement from the clubs and reacts to it. After that, you get a good idea.

Looking forward to:

Clarry having 45 and kicking 2 snags today.

McVee keeping all of Close, Dempsey, Miers and Jack Martin goalless while having 30 touches of his own next week.

And Spargo kicking a 53 metre goal in his North debut.

Brayshaw trumpeted sold out last night. Stadium capacity is 25000. So it was 80% full at 19500.
