That is a cruel injury indeed for Jake Bowey, the Lis Franc foot injury has ended a number of careers and seems to take a full year to overcome. Jack Trengrove was never the same after he sustained his. Good Luck Bowsa.🥲

No its quiet different. Jack had stress fracture of his navicular bone.

My wife had a lis franc & I can tell you Jake won't play at all this year.

Agree. Any suggestions he'll return in any real capacity in season 26 is dare I say, exaggerated hope. Sadly just what is 😞

Not to take anything away from the poor lads devastating injury ( wishing you a full and speedy recovery Jake ) but sweet lady irony throws up curious opportunities.

Bowey got his chance because ........ someone else was injured.

Someone else will get theirs now.

If there's a silver lining.... that's it.

Happenstance can be a cruel playwright .

Given the injury intel input from Demonlanders Jake appears destined as LTI listed. Nominations to fill the void? Like for like or is Xavier ‘T’ sainted with an early opportunity?

Will Noah Yze miraculously get a late chance to float his boat?

Or Paddy Cross cross from Casey Demons? A proven career pathway to the big league.

I have this as a round 1 back 8

B: Moniz-Wakefield, May, Petty

HB: Salem, Lever, Jiath

Rotations: Howes, Turner

Can't disagree with that back line.

I know May isn't there to replace Bowey, but it probably increases his chances of early round selection.

And speaking of May, is there a chance he could take the smaller forward and leave Turner, T Mac or Petty for the big boys?

I can recall that May split the points with Jamie Elliott in round 24 despite the former being woefully out of form and the latter about to absolutely explode in the finals. May really struggled against the likes of Ben King, Mitch Geogiardis and Jack Gunston this year, so perhaps he could be re-tooled onto the smaller defender with McVee gone and Bowey out for ages.

Yeah, we're not playing 8 backs or 4 tall backs. One of May, Petty, Lever or Turner has to go and I'm picking May.

I also think they're not going to be able to deny Xavier Taylor a spot. He'll kill someone to get a start.

Its Moody Jenny & she's good.

Can you confirm you won't inflict any more lugubrious quizzes on Demonlanders ?

I hope Taylor demands a spot on HB allowing Turner to go forward.

Agree. They are going to pick sides that will transition to a top side in 2-3 years. Having 2 defenders on a 5 man bench a long way out. More like 1 Ruck/forward, 1 defender, 3 midfield.

Can any trackwathaers say whether X Lindsay is playing a midfield role in match sims or elsewhere.

Glad to hear that. And the kids? Shirty Bertie and Stroppy Poppy also good?

Just for you, your Royal Crankiness, I have spent the past hour drafting two more quizzes to sate your lubugrious desires.

Who knows, one day you might even solve one of them. 😁

Could we pick the best specialist back pocket player that is not on an AFL list. I feel like at AFL level, so many back pocket players are players that couldn't break into the midfield, half back or as a small forward. Surely there are mature age back pocket players that could do well at AFL level?

Shirty Bertie - seriously ??

Pretty sure you promised us this was your last quiz about 2 years ago but then they keep popping up unexpectedly just like Barnaby Joyce in our worst nightmare

If there is any positive in this injury is that it was his left foot & he is a right footer. It won’t change the healing time but his kicking shouldn’t be impeded when he does come back.

It was either that or Snarky Marky and Crabby Abby. laugh

I'll quit posting the quizzes only when they stop upsetting you. I wuv you Fwankie!! ❣️❣️❤️❤️

Seems very reasonable given it’s December. I’m still going to cross my fingers that his recovery goes as predicted by the club.

(Hope your partner recovers well too)

May got roasted by most forward most games, I really don’t think he should be against a small at all. He is so slow nowadays. Leave him on the big lads where he can wrestle.

I’d be stoked if he could bring back some great form for probably his last year.

Henderson is your man and hes on our list. Has to be worth a shot and probably his best chance of playing.

Not sure this post stands up to scrutiny. (See what I did there?) The left foot of a right-foot kick takes all the stress of the body as it's planted on the ground during the kick. I would have thought the injury would be at least equally problematic whichever foot it's happened to.
