Me looking at all three of those abominations.

You are not alone.

All of them are pretty ordinary.

If we're the designated away team, can't we just wear a white clash jumper, which are by far the most effective clash jumpers in world sport.

we don't have a white clash jumper. our official clash jumper is the royal blue in place of navy blue jumper.

works fine against the druggies.

A point people are missing is that this another jumper change to sell more product. After that I cannot see many of these designs selling well they are just poor.

i think we are aware, od

sometimes i wonder why we bother having a standard set of home and away jumpers, when we have so many games played in one-off non-standard jumpers

Exactly, our std jumper is worn so little these days I often wonder if young generations would even know which one it is.

Old pics but something like this would work in terms of avoiding a clash, and it looks good…

That way Essendon can wear their filthy black jumper with its filthy red sash and their filthy black shorts with no risk of anyone confusing one of their filthy players with one of our awesome players.

a white jumper would look nice for a change imo, but the massive logo in the made these ones look horrible

That white jumper is utter trash if you ask me just as bad as the three the club has put up.

I hated the white. I loved the 160th anniversary one we wore in round 23 2018.

I would be happy with that in the royal blue if we needed it as a rare clash option.

Keep it simple. Keep it red and blue.

Bingo

Thats all these imitation jumpers are

Its about $$$

Option 1 - Training jumper

Option 2 - Training jumper with red v

Option 3 - Ugly training jumper

Option 4 - None of the above

I vote Option 4

If you're going to have an away ( non std clash ) why not go back to something like this

Replace the club emblem with current.

🤔🤷‍♂️

I didnt mind it that much.

Still prefer our REAL jumper though.

Ive never understood why we cant just have a home strip (this one) red and Blue

and a reverse colour blue and red.

surely can avoid any clash with those two.

Its the Eddie argument " we have black and white and white and black" but with real sense.

I was going to say that the answer is it looks awful, but this AI effort doesn't look too bad. I think that's because they've gone with a subdued, dusty red.

I suspect that with the red New Balance uses - which is bright and lustrous, it would be too much.

Sadly I dont like any of them and would prefer we use our traditional Guernsey's (outside of heritage and Indigenous Rounds).

Y2K Flamehead is the best of the 3 but I'd prefer something else if I'm being honest!?

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
