B.O.B 😍

@adonski BOB missed out … I thought he showed plenty during the under 18 championships and when was promoted in the SANFL. Strong onballer with good skills and tackles hard. Assume he stays in the SANFL in 2026.

Now that the draft has come and gone and things appear to be settling down as the club embarks on its end-of-year campaign, is there a what now for prospective players or has the recruiting team shut up shop?

Recent history tells us that even when there are no list places available for new additions, there remains a possibility that a vacancy might occur through a long-term injury or retirement. Last year, we saw Jack Henderson and Jai Culley awarded AFL lifelines prior to the closing of the supplemental selection period window (in the latter's case, the window was reopened due to AMW's ACL injury late in the practice match against North Melbourne). Culley was originally in summer training to play for the Casey Demons.

So bring on Toby Sinnema, Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves, Tairon Ah Mu, Noah Yze and any other prospects who aspire to play at the highest level. The lifeline is still there for the taking.

this is on topic but also sort of not. With the picks chosen, what’s the best 23 looking like? Are any of the new pick ups walk up starts like Linsday and Langford were?

I suspect Xavier Taylor could take the field very early. Versatile role, not frail physically or mentally.

Matthews will be making sure he's fully ripe back from injury, Onley will be doing 1000 hours of handball drills, and if you can predict what a Pickett will do you just got yourself a SSP place as a small defender.

Funny side detail - White doesn't appear on the draft details list on footywire. Presumably it is a glitch in the system where they don't have a slot for filling 'rookie F/S pre-selection'. Has it even happened before?

If you really want you could do ladder predictions for 2030. But what's the point? Some of our recruits may not even have met all the players and staff.
